haha I agree, but i believe attendence is manditory. I am not sure what the penalty is for not attending though. When I went for my interview, one of the current students was saying how he hated that class was manditory bc of his learning style. Sitting in class did nothing for him. It just wasted his study time. He tried studying during class, but that wasn't very productive. so... I guess for some it would be bad, but I still think that no matter what, you should have to/want to go to class 😀
if it's bad for some then why should everybody have to go to class? i think everybody has their own learning styles and should be allowed to choose. if i were running the show, i'd say that if a students grades drop below a certain level then they should be required to go. before the attendance policy, many of the people who matched in the most competitive programs were those who never went to class. just my opinion, but that's how i learn best so i would rather not have the policy.
on another note, i'm on 3rd tier so i can't expect to get in. therefore, i have to take the MCAT again. i did pretty well on it the first time but it's from 2007 so it won't count for next year. i haven't had chem, organic, or physics in over 4 years now. anybody have any suggestions on what book or prep course is a good 3-4 week refresher for those of us who once knew all that stuff pretty well, but no longer remember it? thank you.
