I was complete like 7/18 or so. just got the invite today 9/4...so quite a while

Ok, remember how gmail was not working a couple of days ago? Do you think a school like Davis could have sent the invite email but it never went through due to the outage?

Wishful thinking I think. You can always check your status on your online Davis application. Hope you see good news.

I am so grateful. No sh*!, I was about to go talk to an Army recruiter, cuz I was losing all hope and am slowly running out of cash.

I was complete on August 28th, but submitted everything way before. It took them awhile to download my LORs. Anybody that has figured out this interview glitch, hit me up.

If you click on the interview link and no dates appear, it means they have not confirmed any more dates yet internally. Just keep checking.

supposedly these will be student hosting. i called admissions and asked a couple weeks ago and they told me they were setting it up and they would email us when it was finalized. my interview is in a week and i haven't gotten any emails. i know they do have interviews this week, so hopefully it's set up by now???

I'm just about to wrap up the secondaries, but I was wondering whether the lower division could be satisfied with an upper division bio. For my major in Neuroscience you don't need all 3 lower division so I only took 2 of them. Does anyone know? Do they invite eventhough you might not have the course requirements? I overexceed everything else. Please do inform! Thanks. Also is it a good idea to post all your classes or just the minimum they are asking for? Thanks!

There are no dates listed becuase the admissions office has not confirmed any more dates yet.

Hearing back with an interview invite in a day is NOT the norm at all. (btw, Congratulations, Margarine, that's pretty crazy). Previous years' applicants have said that some schools will hold your secondaries from July to April without giving you any news. Lots of Davis applicants have been waiting over a month without any news. So calm down, most of the posts on SDN are invites/rejections, and for every "invite/rejection" post there are hundreds of us sitting around partying in the mosh pit waiting to be picked. So grab a root beer and join the festivities.

No I didn't apply to RURAL-Prime. Just do so if you're really interested in rural health care accessibility.

um i just got an invite on 9/4 and signed up for late sept, there were also several dates in oct...im no expert but id have a hard time believing only dec is left.

Yeah, I got the invite on 9/6 (11pm on Sunday night. Weird, I know) and scheduled the interview for early October.

I had no problems with the scheduler.

I think you are either Complete or Not Complete on the status page...If you have a green COMPLETE then you are ok! I don't think you get interview status from that webpage...

I didn't click the "submit courses" button at the bottom of the pre-req section. I've been waiting for like a month to be complete and all I had to do was click that button and bam, pre-req completed, letters uploaded...complete.

Don't fell dumb. According to this thread, a ton of people had the same problem. Its their website- it's hard to maneuver.

just in case anyone was wondering they do have student hosts, in the interview confirmation email i got they listed them. So if you didnt get that email might want to call UCD and see whats up. There looked to be only like 8 hosts or so.....so most of us will probably be in hotels...maybe ishould drive from socal its only 6 hrs @_@

The drive's not so bad. Just 300 miles of straight, flat nothing on I-5... 😀

I go from LA (school) to the Bay Area (home) all the time. You can get to Davis in 5-6 hours easy.

Sorry about the status page comment. I mixed up another poster's report about complete status v. invite status.

As for Dinuba - quite real. It's out there in the boring flatland of the SJV, about 40 minutes southeast of Fresno. Lots of stone fruit and dairy in our area. When the air is clear, we have some of the best views of the western Sierra.

Hi all,

I submitted 8/28, was complete 8/29 (6:00 a.m. CA time e-mail) and received an interview invite 8/30 (on a Sunday morning!). I'm super stoked, Davis is one of my top choices.

(For those interested: IS, 30Q, 3.8 overall, 4.0 science)

Weird thing is, when I logged in to pick my interview date, only November dates were available. Did anyone else encounter this? I picked the earliest of those dates but would definitely prefer something in Sept or Oct...I guess I'll call admissions and try for a switch, problem is, of the 2-3 times I've called in the past they never pick up the phone.

I was complete yesterday and I was offered an interview today. I signed up for October. There were some openings early, mid and late Octobers. 1 out 5 who make it for the interview get accepted.

I'm still waiting here too... Davis is one of my top choices - hoping/praying for an interview (i suffered through a 5 unit calc class this summer just so i could apply)
