I too was complete 7/30 and IS, no love... YET 🙂

hmm since some people are getting rejected who were on that same day maybe it means at least we wont hear bad news? 🙂...maybe thats just wishful thinking. Im sick of waiting lol just interview me 🙁
 
First rejection. At least I got invites to UCSF and UCSD.

Sorry about that. Congrats on UCSF and UCSD! The rejection just proves how random all this is, don't you think?

When were you complete at Irvine, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks! This process really is random though I feel the ax is about ready to fall for UC Davis (complete since 7/16--no word from them). The secondary was received 7/29 and I was complete 8/12.
 
Has anyone been marked complete lately? All my stuff has been in since 8/17 but no sign of completeness yet...
I know they said it was a slow process but 😕

Same, all my stuff was in 8/20 and not "complete" yet. I emailed them but they haven't responded. I think previous posts have said that you may be considered complete even without the status update, it's just a matter of the office people going into the system and changing it. Wouldn't worry too much.

edit: I swear adcoms watch SDN. Just now my UCI status page shows "complete - 8/20" and my interview status says "pending review." So you can be complete without the status page showing, they just gotta go in there and update it.

hey guys, I have 2 LORs planned to be sent to UCI, and it's been roughly a week since AMCAS got one of them, and 10 days since AMCAS got the other one...should I be concerned that my status page still shows that UCI hasn't received it? I've submitted my secondary and everything, so now i'm just sitting anxiously...

Generally, if AMCAS has them, then the schools have access to them. Are these letters being sent to other schools too, if anyone else has received your letters, then you're fine. UCI does take a while to update the status page; it's not done in real-time.

LOL well called Fusoya. My status page now says the exact same thing (complete 8/20 too).
 
hey guys what kind of turn around time are you seeing between having your app complete and hearing back about interviews? I was technically complete yesterday, (as in, my secondary was submitted, and they got my LORs), but I know they update the status funky, so...

Did you guys get an email yet? my status page reflects that i got an interview and scheduled it but still no email.
 
Just wondering, for those who got interviews, about how long was your status "pending review"? Thanks.
 
I have a feeling they do things in big batches. It seems the last people to hear about decisions were complete 7/30 and they heard around 8/24-8/25. Seeing as how I'm in the 8/20 complete batch (and assuming there are people complete before me but after 7/30) I don't expect to hear back for another 1-2 weeks.

Not true, i was complete 7/28 and i am still... decision pending
 
What is it with me?
My status page said I got an interview but no email? Its been over a week. I guess I have to call them.

wow it had not even occured to me that it was not the same. It's been that way for a while. Okay Irvine I will make the decision easier for you... click the interview button 😉
 
Still no status even though complete on same date..7/30
 
I somehow managed to schedule my interview for UCLA on Columbus Day. I sent an e-mail to Irvine begging them to let me interview the day after. I can't afford many more flights across the country 🙁

yay!!! just got the invite like 5 mins ago. I was complete like 8/4 or so, somewhere around there.
 
finally submitted today... maybe i should not have spent so much time on that blasted ucsd "write the story of your life" essay
 
So in their interview instructions, they say to bring a proof of state residence form to the interview.

I cannot find said form anywhere though.

Is anyone else having this problem?

EDIT: Nevermind, looks like they fixed the link.

when you open the pdf instructions...click on the part where it talks about the residency form (its in blue), a link should pop up taking u there.

Yeah I assume it was in the interview email that they did not send to anyone. I called them, and the lady said she would email it to me in the next 10 minutes. . . that was yesterday afternoon, and I still haven't gotten it.


Also, did anyone get an email about being asked to drive out to Long Beach for your faculty interview?

Hi everyone! I'm not sure if other UCI med students are on this forum but if you have any questions about the school I may be able to answer them or at least find people who can answer them.

Complete 9/2. Interview status is "pending review." One of my co-workers said it takes about a month after being complete to get an answer about an interview. I have some waiting to do.

as do I, considering that even though my letters have been downloaded, my application hasn't even been marked complete yet. then again, you've got a cornell invite so I have no sympathy for you 😛

i submitted 2ndary on 8/18, LOR marked complete 8/21, and application complete 9/2. when were your LOR marked complete?

i remember emailing them on 8/9 for a Q about pre-reqs, and i rec'd an automatic reply saying they would not be able to get back to me for a while due to orientation for incoming class. maybe they are really busy...but i'm thinking that you shouldn't see a huge delay b/w LOR marked complete and overall app complete.

i'm grateful for that cornell invite...esp since my home state isn't showing me the love!

My LOR's were just marked complete yesterday, so I guess another week or two before I am fully complete...

how long was the turnaround from complete at cornell to invite?

I'm surprised you haven't gotten other UC invites, considering pitt and cornell--two incredible schools--have already shown you love. I think they'll come around for you though...of course it can never be soon enough.

yeah, sounds like you should be marked complete pretty soon!

for cornell, i submitted 8/23, complete 8/24, invite 9/1.
pitt was also fast: submitted 8/24, invite 8/25.

and of course the uc's are taking their sweet time. i think they enjoy seeing us squirm.
 
grrr! my LORs were received 9/1, my secondary was submitted end of august, but it still doesnt mark my application as complete. i called last week about this, but they're like "it's an in house thing", but like...gah
