I'm still at "file complete - ready for review" - they haven't done a review yet I guess. I was complete around 7/28. Anyone else complete around this time?

Many have completed review, just not all logged in to this system yet....with the short staff we were focusing effort elsewhere since system wasnt up....now that it is, we can complete data entry within next 24-48 hours.....

Or they literally mean that the largest blood vessel in your body is eligible for interview.

On a more serious note, that message is a bit ambiguous. My first inclination isn't a hold, though.

I have File Complete-Ready for Review, but they are updating it so we'll see if it changes over the next few days.

Why don't you click that status - it's a link. It'll pop up a box that pretty much says you're in a pool of applicants that might or might not get an interview. I hope the pool is as big as my bathtub 👍

Y'all are a fun group!!!! As you see our computer group did get things up when I was out of the office.

NOTE 1: Each status is a live link, so click it to see a more detailed definition (for example I have defined the Admissions Office Review Team for Applicants (AORTA).

NOTE 2: I will tweak definitions as we get calls and questions. For everyone's sanity I want to provide as much clarity as possible.

NOTE 3: I have not reviewed everyone's status so there is a remote possibility that some code did not transfer properly. If your status makes NO sense, send an email to [email protected].

NOTE 4: Moving from a HFI (hold for info) status to a Complete status will take a few days. It requires two manual checks:
1) On a daily basis we must manually check to find newly completed supplemental packages (Submitted your supplemental, fee, photo).
2) After we see that your supplemental packet is compete we must then go into AMCAS to review your letters for the number and categories of letters that we need. If your application stays in an HFI category for more than a week after you completed your supplemental application and after all of your intended letters are in AMCAS. Send us an email inquiring -- maybe we either missed or mis-categorized a letter...it is a manual process to actually read the letters since there is no categorization in AMCAS, give us a reasonable time to make the review......communication is a good thing...we look forward to it......;>)

Please also include information about your family, personal interests, hobbies, travels, and specific goals you may have achieved. This essay should be different than your AMCAS Personal Statement.

However, is there anything else we should include that is not listed? Anything that would be beneficial? Any other tips? etc...

anyones status switch? I was originally under the AORTA status, now im under file complete, ready for review status. Is this a bad thing?? 😕

Mine switched. I'm not worried... it's complete and it's out of my hands now!
 
So if my application still says "scheduled for full review to determine interview status", does that mean I could be either put on hold or invited to interview? I was complete 7/28.
 
Okay wait - This is bad. I was originally sent a complete e-mail on 7/28.

Then, yesterday, I went and changed the picture I had uploaded. I figured I would because I ended up taking a new picture that was better and had been using it for most of my schools (but I had applied to UCF a lot earlier). Now it says my application is complete 8/31...does this have any impact?

My status switched as well from AORTA - eligible for interview to file complete, ready for review. I feel like this means we went backwards, lol. Hopefully it doesn't change to awaiting primary submission of AMCAS!

On the otherhand, when you click the link, it says they're doing a full review to determine interview status. Maybe that means a definite "yes/no" for an interview. I have no idea though...

I'm getting so neurotic about this process. I think I'm going to take a SDN vacation...

where do you guys see the status, when i log in to the secondary application I can't find where on the dashboard a status is. thanks for the help.

Right above the table that has all the dates... Current Status: FILE COMPLETE - READY FOR REVIEW

If it doesn't show up, give it a day or two - they're still working on it!

I have just completed what I believe to be a thorough review of applicant status. So if your's is in question, please query status to [email protected]

Note: If you are "stuck" in a Hold For Information status and you know that you have completed the Supplemental App and paid the fee, the only problems would have to be related to LOR's. Remember that we require 3 faculty letters (or 1 premed committee letter), AND 2 character letters (CR). The CR's may be sent to AMCAS separately or in a package with the committee letter.
 
REL, you are awesomely helpful! I wish more schools would/could be so involved in the discussions.

Makes me glad I added UCF to my list, even though I had to scramble to get a third faculty LOR--should be done by end of next week! :xf:

Yeah, REL has been soooooo helpful, I wish all schools could be like that. I mean, what's the point of keeping the whole process such a mystery?

so does that mean they called you? or do you check your email when youre driving? Tsk tsk
 
When I leave work ther is a long line to leave the lot so that is when I checked my email. I thought that maybe my app was inc because the message was basically a please call so I pulled over at the 7 eleven expecting the worse and then I called and was formally told. As aa teacher I know safety comes first😉😳🙂😎😀:laugh: these are the emaotions i am feeling now

REL, thanks for being so kind to us all. May I bug you with yet another question? What % of people in the "eligible for interview selection" category do you anticipate being invited to interview?

faith2, big congrats! I admit I'm pretty jealous, but way to go! Keep us updated.

Hard to answer a % question since we dont know what the pool will be. We will interview about 325 this year. It's a real long season ending somewhere in March or April for most programs.....we're barely moving yet....keep the faith!
 
I am also in the "AORTA- Eligible for an interview" bunch... I hope that turns into good news!
 
Invited for an interview yesterday 09/10. Complete 09/03.

Was your status originally "Eligible for interview selection" or did you just go from "under review" to invited for interview?

Unfortunately I didn't check my status again after I saw under review..they invited me fairly quickly after I was complete (not to sound arrogant, cuz I have mediocre stats at best) and REL was extremely helpful and friendly about the whole process.

All I can say about getting invited is don't get too worried, it's real early in the game now, they send invites all the way until March. Stay strong and I hope you all hear back soon, would love to meet yall at interviews!
 
I got invited to interview for October 2! I was complete 9/3. They call you over the phone first to schedule the interview and then they e-mail you. So make sure to pick up your phones from area code 407

The clock is ticking.... now it is really starting to sink in I am so excited I hope everyone is at least hearing something from somewhere and if not be patient it will happen. I will not be back here until it is over and I had time to digest what happened but i will post in the interview feedback asap so hopefully it can help others. 🙂🙂🙂

Yeah, I was complete long before that and am in the same category as you. I really wish it meant that we'd get interviewed eventually, but I doubt it...I think it's just a nice way of saying you're on hold.
