I just completed the secondary 1 minute ago. I had it for 2 months but I was scared to submit 120 is a lot of money for a rejection. Then yesterday they sent a email to remind me to submit the secondary, and I figured what the h###. I am already poor 120 more is not going to make me that much poorer.:laugh:

II today as well!! Secondary submitted first day it came out! Finally! Anyways earliest interview is mid Feb.... do you guys think this will be for waitlist spots only?

No, absolutely not. AE interviews until end of April. you're fine!

Hey guys,

Just a question for those that have already interviewed, what is your "status" on the application webpage? mine is "status about to change"....which is odd, IMO.

Just curious to see what others' have as their status! :luck: to everyone with getting interview invites and hopefully positive news from AECOM in January!

The waiting is grueling, I know. When did you submit your secondary?

I submitted my secondary Aug. 26th, but my MCAT scores didn't get to them until at least Sept. 2nd, that's when most other schools loaded them. How long have you been waiting? I still have yet to get a single interview invite so I'm beginning to get nervous since it's almost November, and I'm pretty sure I've gnawed off all of my fingernails at this point hahaha

I submitted August 30th, at which point the MCAT and letters and everything had long been ready. The website still says I'm at "Secondary application received." This is promising, though, if you're complete, they're probably almost up to my application.

It may be worth investing in some press on nails. I have a feeling the process isn't about to get any less stressful.

I had that status for about a month and then it changed to interview invite. Hope the same thing happens to you 👍

Thanks for your help. I already interviewed at AECOM a long time ago (sorry if that wasn't clear)....so I was curious what it "should say" for post-interview folks. I am pretty sure that during most of this process (up through my interview date), i didn't have a status button haha...so that's why I never checked.

I submitted my secondary the first week of September and my status is still "Secondary Application Received." Is this cause for concern? I'm wondering what is holding me back from being complete.

I submitted August 30th, and I still have the same status. I'm pretty sure they have everything. I think they're just moving slowly.

I got the complete email this morning! My dates are a little weird though. I submitted the secondary on 8/24, but my last letter wasn't uploaded to AMCAS until 9/16. Maybe by the time AECOM looked at my app, my letters were in, and the 8/24 counts as my submission date?

I just got the complete email too! 8/30 secondary submission.

Can someone who has already interviewed provide a little info?
1) How did you get to and from Einstein (assuming you came from Manhattan)? I read the email but it seemed extraordinarily complicated including the use of subways, buses, and cabs.
2) What was the interview day like? In the email it makes it seem like you get interviewed, then walk around the campus a little, and then you go home. Can it really be so brief? Also, what was your experience with your interview? Casual/relaxed or aggressive/confortational? Thanks.

yeah that is pretty much what the interview day was like. most people had a morning interview followed up by lunch and then a tour of the school. those who had interviews in the afternoon just did them after the tour. it was a pretty short day

also my interview was relaxed and my interviewer was awesome but he asked me a lot of hypothetical questions which i hadn't really prepared for

Wow, finally complete. Secondary submitted on August 31.

For those who have interviewed already did they tell you when the committee will start letting people know if they are accepted?

they said mid january for those that interviewed early,
interestingly enough, they called that rolling admissions.
meaning if you interviewed in mid october you shouldn't be expecting anything until february probably

I'm really hoping to be marked complete this week. I submitted the secondary on Sept 2.

Secondary Submitted 8/16
Complete 10/6
"Preliminary Screening Completed" status 10/25

I have been on "Preliminary Screening Completed" status for about a month...I am starting to worry this is a very polite silent hold :/

I've been at that point since some time in July, I am positive mine is a silent rejection ha

me too. makes me nervous.

I had that status as well for about a month then it changed to "status about to change" for a few weeks then I got an invite. There is still hope!

Does anyone know if they accept update letters/letters of interest from people who have not yet been offered an interview?

My status stated "preliminary screening complete" for weeks (I am pretty sure it was 3 weeks) before I received my interview invite. Seems like that's the trend at Einstein.... eek! Earliest date they had open was Feb 8 about 2 weeks ago. When I tried to reschedule for an earlier date since I am out of the country, the lady said the only reschedule possible were for Feb 24 or thereabouts, haha.

I submitted my app 8/28 and am still not complete 🙁 I understand they are a little behind due to all the holidays...I guess I will have to remain patient! Anyone else in the same boat?

For all of those who are not complete yet, do not worry. I spoke to the admissions office this morning and they informed me that the students that submitted their secondary in late August are being reviewed for completion now. If you submitted the secondary before then, I would check your application to be sure there are no errors.

👍 FINALLY got the complete email today & submitted Aug 29th.

Received the complete e-mail this afternoon!

On the card they gave me with my interviewers info it had einsteins admission email address and the address of the hospital and department she works in.
Did they prefer us to snail mail the follow up letter or email it?
Thanks

Just for gits and shiggles, I logged in to check my status and it said "About to change." Anyone know what this is about?

I was complete wayy back when - Mid July.

I don't know, other than you are closer to getting some real news than I am, but do you (or anyone else) remember how long your status was "file under preliminary review" for?

DO everyone get "preliminary screening complete" status after complete status? Or do some people get rejected? What do u guys think are odds to get a interview after having preliminary status?

I'm pretty sure everyone gets that. I had that and I'm scheduled for an interview now.

does anyone know if the addmissions office is receptive to additional letters to be placed in our folders for the comittee?

im at preliminary status complete - how long do you stay on this before you get "about to change"?

Admissions just called me to change my interview date... apparently the doctor who was scheduled to interview me on the 10th had to cancel. Looks like I'll be there on the 9th instead.

has anyone gotten a rejection yet?
My preliminary screening has been complete since end august or something like that and I haven't gotten an interview.. just wondering where I stand

1) How did you get to and from Einstein (assuming you came from Manhattan)? I read the email but it seemed extraordinarily complicated including the use of subways, buses, and cabs.

Very easy - take the express bxM10 bus from Manhattan. Has pick-up stops along 5th ave (23rd st, 34th, 42nd, 50-something, 60th). Its $5.50 but if you have a pay-per-ride metrocard it will automatically deduct the 5.50 (rather than the usual 2.25). Get off at the Morris Park Ave & Eastchester Rd. stop, which is literally right in front of the school!

From 42nd street, about how long would the bus take to reach Einstein?

Wow, patience really is a virtue. And SDN is just a bunch of speculation.

I was going to call the office yesterday to find out what my "Preliminary Screening Completed" status meant, thinking it meant they screened me and decided on no interview. I held off thankfully. Today I got an interview invite. So that status definitely does not mean "no interview."

just curious - how long in between "prelim screening completed" to "interview invite"?
