Hi guys,
Just wanted to send a little insight into how our classes have been here at AE. We are half way through anatomy and took our first exam today. It covered quite a bit, but we had two practice practicals one put on by the professors and one put on by the second years, plus Dr. Olson who is the head of anatomy posts every single practical question for the last 10 years on the myalbert website with multiple pictures and the ability to zoom in- then he breaks it all down and even tells you the frequency on how often something has been tagged. Basically if you go through the material they give you there should be NO reason to fail even if you didn't study other material. They fed us chocolate in the hallways DURING the exam while we were waiting to enter the different practical rooms, and Dr. Downey played some music in the lecture hall. In short, for the "toughest" course of the year, it rocked.
The 70% of the written exam was out of two question books, questions were word for word. Its not that there was no work involved - there was over 400 questions that the exam could have pulled from, but the books tested high yield stuff and strengthened what we saw in lab so it really complemented everything we did. Our passing is 65% so if you took the time to learn the questions there is NO way anyone should have failed this exam if they put in the effort.
In short- we learned a lot and were given the tools to not stress over the tests... I love this school.
