I'm confused ... where are you guys seeing the new update? Mine still says April 15th and 109.

Yeah, I went back to the actual Admissions site, and it still said April 15th! It finally changed a minute ago after refreshing a million times. Strange!
 
FWIW, I looked at last year's thread for ECU and found the following things that happened after this date last year:
98 acceptances on may 1 last year
1 acceptance on may 14,
1 acceptance on may 21.

That's it, so good luck to all but I for one am not counting on it at all!

That was only what was reported in the thread. No one ever put up the complete number of acceptances from May of last year. And, that thread had half the traffic that this year's does, so it isn't necessarily a representative sample.

The spaces are, however, running out. I'm coming to grips with the fact that I'm going to have to drop the money on an MCAT course, and retake that thing again.

Agreed. I think there were probably 5 acceptances for every 1 post or so.......
 
The only thing that gives me hope is the fact that UNC has increased their size this year and that their waitlist never moves until after May 15th. I'm sure the majority of the acceptances to UNC are instates ... many of which are holding acceptances at ECU.

I think it's still a letter in the mail. I wish phone call ... or e-mail. Would make it much easier.

Also, still no update. Hopefully no spots went out again.

Another girl here withdrawing from Brody. I love this school though, and it kind of broke my heart to do so, but I'm better suited elsewhere. Best to all :xf::luck::xf:
 
As of May 15, 2011, we have .....
  • Received 851 AMCAS applications
  • Received 746 Supplementary applications
  • Interviewed 488 applicants
  • Made 127 offers
  • (Generally it takes 100-125 offers to fill a class)
 
not sure, but since they're over their "125", I think that means that they are going farther into the waitlist than they had expected. I would think that a couple of those 17 offers were mailed out yesterday, today, or will be tomorrow.
 
I agree. Interestingly I remember that the status when the waitlist letters came out was at 93 offers. 127-93 = 34 offers off of the waitlist! Assuming the waitlist is the size of the class (76 or so), that's almost half.
 
Crap ... my heart just sunk. Hopefully they are offers that are currently in the mail as you guys just said? I really hope so ...

I just called the admissions office to ask if these are recent offers, but nobody answered.
 
17 new acceptances since May 1, and no one has posted anything on this board. There are definitely acceptances in the mail. I would like to hear that from the office though.
 
I'll try to call again later, being that I'm about to go into a meeting at work. Can somebody else try too, just in case I don't get out until 5?

Just called to check my status, and was told that I'm still on the alternate list ... but there are more offers to be made.

Boo. I was hoping she would say that my decision was in the mail.
 
interesting, that seems to mean that there are offers in the mail, but they already know they are going to have make even more offers (more than 127)
 
Oh I hope so...waiting is killing me! I would like to make plans at this school foremost but if not here elsewhere. I'm gonna be tied down this summer which will make it hard to find housing during what little free time I will have. Good luck everybody!!
 
I called this week as well. No such luck.. time to start up the MCAT studies and finalize alternate plans.
 
Got the acceptance letter today!! This is my second time applying so it comes with much relief.

For anyone else who recently received a letter, did yours include anything about financial aid?

Congratulations! The financial aid stuff is sent separately later on. It came several weeks after the acceptance letter, so I wouldn't expect it anytime soon.
