I was just about to ask that... I got it too... I'm not even sure why they'd randomly send that.
 
CONGRATS! I was going to say...right now acceptances are coming by mail. Should be 2-3 more this week, says Lynn.
 
squarefoot, you're expecting to see 2-3 more acceptances this week? why's that?
 
Congrats norm! I personally know 5 people in at ECU and unc that are waiting until the 15th of may to drop for scholarship reasons. I know another 2 that are in at unc and probably going out of state. Those 2 spots are likely filled by ECU acceptancees(if that's a word lol).... Sooo I personally know of 7 more so hope isn't lost!

Same here... I heard there are a handful of people in my neck of the woods doing the same... Best of luck to everyone waiting!:luck:

And to people who asked, Lynn is as norm said the director of admissions who you met at interviews. I talked to her today, and said 2-3 people have declined or dropped out so 2-3 acceptances should go out this week, she thinks. Also, those accepted will be notified via letters and called if accepted much later on (around June).

I'm sorry. I knew that Lynn was the director of admissions at ECU. I just thought Squarefoot was speaking of additional acceptances of his own coming this week. That would be nice too.

I got it April 1st. This is what it said:

I got this too. I called a few of my friends that applied elsewhere and they got it too. I think it was a mass email to all active applicants.

Hi all,

I've been reading the SDN forums a lot this year, but I have never posted. I know everyone on the waitlist is really anxious, but there is hope. I just got an acceptance letter this morning! It was dated April 6, so it took a few days to get here even though I live in the Triangle.

SDN has really helped me through this whole process, and I love how supportive everyone is of each other. I just wanted to say :luck: to everyone else still waiting to hear back 🙂

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't completely jealous of those of you who have gotten in. I absolutely want to get some good news soon! :xf: for all of us still on the waiting list.

I felt the exactly the same way, especially since I was looking at graduating without having an acceptance somewhere (our commencement is before May 15). Hang in there and :luck:! You never know when you may get that letter 🙂

I agree it's a great sign! It'll be interesting to see the admissions update on the 15th to see exactly how many people have gotten in off the waitlist.
 
don't rub it in psyctarheel...a lot of people will be graduating without acceptances anywhere, potentially including myself. it's not the end of the world, either.

I'm a little relieved the website wasn't updated today. Now I won't fret as much over the weekend...

Yes it does! Getting near that estimated number of 120 or 125 offers needed to fill the class.
 
Still no update for the end of the month/early May. I'm hoping the 109 stays the same 🙁.
