Nope.. but then again I interviewed last week,so I'm not expecting anything too soon..

Any one who still has not gotten rejected pre-interview? Still hoping that they are sending out invites.

Thanks. I looked at your previous post and looked at my status but I have a blank for the decision letter sent. Also aren't pre-interview rejections sent through e-mail?

I got an email from the financial aid office yesterday, indicated that I had been accepted. But I hadn't actually gotten a letter from anywhere saying I was accepted so I was happily surprised. My status was updated to letter sent on 3/15 and there is also a link on the status page to a checklist for accepted students.

Interviewed in November (week of Thanksgiving), in state candidate.

Groomer has is that they don't do rejections; just waitlist (not sure if they inform you of the waitlist before may 15th though)

I'm pretty sure HSOH means there are no post-interview rejections.

I'm not sure how they do pre-interview rejections though.

So it seems that no one who interviewed late (late January and on) has received any type of update so far, is this correct? All of the posters who were accepted claimed interviews that were in November, December, and early January.

To be clear, I'm only trying to figure out their mechanism for handing out acceptances, not to dash any hopes.

I am hoping your right, latest interview date I heard of someone getting accepted was Jan. 4th.

Here is to hearing back next week :xf::xf::xf::xf::xf:

preinterview, no rejections? huh?

They do reject pre-interview; if you look back in January there were a few waves of pre-interview rejections that were preceded by a status change in "final letter sent."

Interviewed 2/3. Have yet to receive any status update. I hope, that there is still hope.

+1, Did I meet you at the interview? I was the girl in the black suit 😎

Does anyone have any insight if this is all 120 acceptances? It seems like it isn't? here's hoping :xf: I would certainly go here if accepted, but it doesn't seem so likely at this point

I called the office and was told that only a few acceptances were sent out this week. The rest will be spread out over the next few weeks....

Thank you for that clarification. I think many of us were about to pop a blood vessel.

Haha, your hint sure narrows it down *sarcasm*. Well, we may or may not have met depending upon your interview shift. We can reveal our identities to each other after everything has panned out =).

keep in mind that they still got 1-2 interview days to do. that'd be a little messed up if they accepted enough for their class before them.

Well they could accept the 120 before they finished interviewing, considering they normally accept more than 200 since not everyone ends up matriculating. It wouldn't be good if they accepted 240 before the interviews were completed though...

someone who interviewed this week told me that they told him that admissions looks at applicants in order based off highest MMI scores. So I think specific interview dates don't matter as much.
:luck:

Awesome- I loved the MMI. I usually don't do great on interviews and eventually start rambling. Managing not to look like an ass for 8 minute blocks is easy!

Are a lot of people still in limbo, without interviews and without a "mail sent" indicating that they were rejected? I'm still hopeful about an interview here, even though it's the only school I have not withdrawn or been rejected from rofl.

They're running 2 months behind other schools...so yes there are people in limbo. At my interview, they said they will be interviewing well into April. And they seem to contact people at the very last minute. So I suppose they'll be inviting people till the end of March....

how bout a facebook group/support group for those in limbo? there seems to be a much bigger need for that

Does UCLA not have a revisit weekend? I just got my letter in the mail today, and it says nothing about it.

I also received a letter from the dean with a scholarship offer "awarded on the basis of your scholastic distinction and activities that benefit the community and society." Does anyone know if this is the amount of merit-based aid I could expect, or whether I could obtain more by going through the financial aid application process?

Pulling for all the folks in limbo - I'm one of the handful of people still in limbo over on the Duke thread, not an awesome feeling I know.

woohoo, accepted! interviewed kind of late, around early february.

Was this today or last week with everyone else? I interviewed in late feb, if they are accepting based on MMI like someone else said, I thought it went really well, but not so sure now.

letter sent 3/15, online status change on 3/16.

Wondering if there are any march interviewees out there that have gotten an acceptance yet? Also, I second hearing about how acceptances are granted according to MMI score- I was told this on my interview day (which was a couple weeks ago) as well.

It's so hard to get any work done.. waiting on UCLA and BU, my only interviews this cycle.

Also do I need to submit my official transcript before I am able to hear about any status update? I sent them my transcript a while ago, but it still says "requested" on my status page.. I e-mailed them asking about early this week and have not received a response.

Thanks!

No, transcripts prior to matriculation, not before decision.

totally feel ya, dude =/ I just had my interview this past week (St. Patty's - they stuck little green post-it things on our name tags, haha), and Ian said that the earliest any of our files could get back to the committee for review post-interview is prob 2 weeks because of the back-up, and that it'll most likely take between 2-6 weeks.

What I'm wondering is when we should send an LOI.. before they review our file again, or after they make their final decision? I absolutely LOVE Geffen, and what I saw on interview day just served to solidify it as my top choice; would drop everything else in a heartbeat to come here. As sad as it may sound, I think I can safely say that I've never wanted anything so much in my life, sigh 🙁

Exactly how I feel. The campus is absolutely incredible and the faculty are extremely dedicated to student education and research. Hoping for good news soon! 😉

oh man.. 2-6 weeks!?! 🙁

So if we interviewed sort of recently (i.e. Feb) and haven't heard back, it could either be...

A) Not yet reviewed (i.e. didn't do well at MMI or committee is backlogged)

or

B) Reviewed and put into hold/waitlist/potential reject pile (i.e. did well at MMI or committee just happened to get to us)

Ladeeda, the wait continues...
