That was me. If you read my post, I am pretty sure I wrote a clause in there to the tune of "unless you have circumstances out of your control" or something like that. Technically, the fairest way (for applicants) would be for the admissions committee to not take any action whatsoever until the primary & secondary deadlines had passed, then give everyone a review. However, the name of the game is get your app in on time. From the adcoms perspective, it seems like the most time-efficient way to get the class that they want, I guess.

Ya I know you had that clause, I was just saying what I think qualified as out of your control.

Don't worry about it. I was denied an auto-invite with a 41/4.0 and got an interview a couple of weeks after I was complete.

That sounds like a hold, not a rejection. They aren't the same, though, to be honest, I don't think the prospects are good.

Same boat. I completed the secondary in early August, but MCAT scores weren't in until 9/14. File is "under review" since 8/24 as well. Maybe we are in a twilight zone somewhere?

i sure hope not! plus all these twitter updates about cutting # of interviews is really unsettling. i love that U Mich is so transparent about their whole process...i only wish they could be transparent and keep posting good news on that feed! 😀

Cole i really think you need to move on and mind your business. you're accepted, woohoo, kudos. however, i have noticed an inherent sense of arrogance in your posts over the last several weeks in many different threads. please consider the implications of some of your comments before posting. you don't need to point out the painfully obvious detriment of others or establish your superiority. although you laugh at being called a troll, you are at times contributing to that negative image here at SDN, making people feel less confident of their own standing.

It is not just this last post, Cole. Please don't try to self-justify. It is obviously apparent that I am not the only one who has gotten this negative aura from your posts as a whole.

Whatever dude. Think what you want, that's fine. It doesn't bother me one way or another, and I really could care less about the opinion of a random SDN user (or three, as the case may be) that seems to have a bone to pick or has sore feelings.
