2012 Alternate List Applicants

Currently we are accepting applicants from the middle of the “Middle Third” of our Alternate List. Since acceptances from the Alternate List are in response to withdrawals by currently accepted applicants, we cannot predict if or when the next Alternate will be accepted. It is unlikely we will have acceptances from the alternate list between now and July 30th.

"This year 2599 students applied, 385 were interviewed and 236 acceptances were offered to fill the 176 positions. Of the 118 students placed on the alternate list, 49 were offered a position at UASOM and 30 of the remaining alternates were accepted elsewhere."

Seems like the number accepted off the wait list was significantly less than the last two years.

I agree...that's very strange, I wonder why that happened considering that an average of about 80 applicants have been accepted off the alternate list every year...

Strange and unfortunate. I will also be reapplying (unless something happens at USA soon). Did y'all ever receive feedback from admissions? I'm still waiting.

Yeah. I have been waiting for about 6 weeks. Maybe they were waiting for everything to finalize before informing us.
