Has anyone who interviewed 4/6 heard back yet?
 
Weird, I just did a status check and they sent me a message inviting me to fill out the secondary. Only problem is that I've already interviewed. Anyone else get this?

Just checked mine and got same thing. All the dates on my home page and message page were changed to 5/1/12. Hopefully, this means we'll here something soon from them.

same here.. on the message center page it says 5/1/12 3:05 pm... I wonder if that time means anything :xf:
 
Does anyone know if admin committee is meeting today? And when decisions are expected to be handed out?
 
the suspense is killing me. it's taking forever for them to make decisions

But it's so close to May 15. Maybe they're just waiting for people to withdraw their acceptances before extending acceptances to the later interview groups? :luck:
 
After much debate, I withdrew my acceptance today. Good luck to everyone!
 
Called Davis to check on my application status. Apparently I was waitlisted post-interview but the emails never got sent out. If you haven't heard back, give them a call - they were very nice.

So it didn't say anything on your portal that you are waitlisted? I have not yet heard back ,so it would be good to know before I give them a call :xf:
 
No. I had not received an email or a notification in the applicant portal. She was very surprised that I hadn't been contacted.

believe so-- I was told that the admissions staff members "don't know the internal rankings / activities of adcom" regarding the waitlist. Maybe I'm reading into it but that sounds like there is some sort of ranking. Does that matter? I genuinely don't know, not trying to be combative. As in, I know it matters who gets called first but they won't tell us our rank anyhow 🙂 so it doesn't seem to matter to us if they rank or not?

Good luck to you wherever you end up 🙂! It looks like you were admitted off the waitlist??.. oh so they have started pulling from the waitlist.... but I thought they haven't made decisions for the last few interview groups yet...

I was in one of the last interview groups last year and I got accepted (without being wait-listed) mid-May so don't give up hope if you interviewed in March or April.

Also, my very limited memory (sorry finals week) is that people were getting pulled off of the wait-list last year before I was even accepted.

Ya, I was accepted off the waitlist prior to the last interview date, which I found odd but I guess they do go back and look at applicants throughout the cycle. Good luck to everyone though!

ya I guess you are right. I just wanted to know if they would at least tell you if you are high priority or low priority...

CONGRATS grad09!! Got the call today as well! A part of me is having a hard time believing since I don't have a written confirmation. Still, such a fantastic feeling!!!

Thank you and ConGrats Tabasco!! Apparently written confirmation won't be coming for about a week-- but this is official enough for me 🙂
 
What do most people do about housing? Is there a centralized uc davis website with housing listings of some sort?
 
The Facebook group for the class of 2016 has tons of posts about available housing and other incoming MS1's looking for roommates. 🙂

Hey everyone,

I just withdrew my acceptance from UCD. I absolutely loved the school. This was my first interview and one of my first acceptances. My personalized revisit was a lot of fun, and the faculty I was able to meet were amazing.

I hope my spot goes to one of you on here. I know the waiting is tough, but it's May 15th. Things should really get moving now. :luck:

Entadus, my friend, you know I'm secretly hoping this spot goes directly to you! :meanie:

To the waitlisted folks: to my knowledge is the waitlist is kept pretty small and there is usually movement.
 
ahhhhhh accepted off the waitlist today!!!!! this is my first acceptance and im so glad i get to stay in california!!!!

for those of you who are wondering, I interviewed 2/10, WL 2/28, Accepted 5/15 via phone call from Dr. Sousa

got the call from the assistant dean today-but already have my mind made about about another school so hopefully if anyone else is still eagerly waiting your call comes soon! good luck to everyone!

Thanks for the kind thought.. Called the admin office today and was told there was ranking for the waitlist but that she couldn't divulge our rank. Also that there are ~150 applicants waitlisted.. :scared:

Interviewed 4/6. Wait-listed 5/10.

...still on the waitlist and hoping i get a call! although it seems like the waitlist has a large number of people:/
 
Dr. Sousa, let me tell you how your day is going to unfold tomorrow.

You're going to pick up your phone at exactly 10:30AM PST, dial my number, and offer me an acceptance to the class of 2016. Because quite frankly, doing anything else would be a crime. 😀 :xf::xf::xf:
 
for those who were accepted off the waitlist..

did you guys send any information to davis? or express interest in some way?
 
Does anyone know how stringent Davis is about completing prereqs by the January of matriculation year?

I was accepted last month, but won't complete my prerequisites till June 11. Not sure how I failed to see the January 1 deadline on their prerequisites page, considering how many times I visited it. :smack:

EDIT: Forgot to add: I did state on my secondary that I was going to complete some of my prerequisites over Spring 2012 quarter. Also, when you accept Davis's offer, you're taken to a page that says you should have completed your prerequisites by June 1, so I had to request an extension.
