Can someone please post the prompts? I was under the impression that was the main purpose of this thread.

Thanks!! As for when I was complete, I'm not sure. UCSF never sent an e-mail or anything like that, but I think it must've been around late July (24th-ish).

Totally stoked to see San Fran! As a lifelong East Coaster, I hear it's an amazing change of pace...

Looks like they're sending out invites in tiny little spurts. This is just the beginning... G'luck!

You're going to LOVE it! I'm from the Bay, went to school there, and did research at UCSF. The students are really chill and laidback. It is awesome 🙂 I hope you get in!

What dates are they making available to you?

September is already filled. They seem to interview Mon/Tues/Thurs. Oct 3 & 10 are full, and the last date currently available is the 18th. With my job and other considerations, I think I'm going to have to wait until they open up some mid/late November dates (they don't issue acceptances until 1/1, anyway). Also, if I'm lucky enough to get a Stanford invite, I might try to hit both in one gloriously expensive trip...

EDIT: On their website:

Interviews are conducted 8am-5pm, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
It is to your advantage to interview as early as possible.
We will not be conducting interviews on the following holidays: November 24; December 19 through January 3; January 16; and February 20.
After you have selected your interview day, you will receive an email confirmation.

I just got the rejection letter (OOS). At least I saved time and money by not having to do the secondary app 🙂

I put that I went to Burning Man in my EC's. I bet some of those students/profs go there every year. I am a non-trad (engineer) and haven't done the slightest bit of research either. You have to say something that separates you from everybody else with a 3.7+ GPA and 35+ MCAT... something that makes them think "I want to meet this guy".

No I don't think so. The only email I got after submitting my secondary is "UCSF Application - Secondary Application Received".

I don't think anyone on this thread can answer that question. Until you get an official rejection, I would assume you still have a chance.

I'm OOS and still waiting on secondary as well... I know others have eventually received a pre-secondary rejection notice, so I'd assume that if you haven't heard anything it means you're not out yet.

Don't forget it's only early September. I don't understand this mentality of SDNers thinking September is really late in the cycle....
