I hope i get an interview soon

Is anyone else getting a giant error page when they try to log in to their student portal??

I know there have been a few interview invites after the four day mark, but I am starting to get a little sad about not hearing back yet. I was complete 7/19. Just thought I'd share. And maybe I am not alone? 😳

You've been complete for less than a week. Remain calm.

 That is how mine was too... Kinda worried about not ever receiving emails from Pritzker (not even a secondary email, had to have a friend forward me his email).

SAME! I actually did receive the secondary e-mail but 10 days after the system claims to have sent it to me. Apparently I've been sent a confirmation, but I don't see anything. Are you using a Gmail? Yahoo? A forwarding e-mail?

I am just using my school email with a .edu address. Not quite sure why their emails never go through. I'll just check my status after my interview with the portal I suppose. 🙂

Thanks! So excited... Now I've gotta book a flight, buy new clothes, and try not wet myself during the interview.

Any tips for getting off the hold list? I am going to be in the area in october, would it be worth it to try and email them about that?

I would give it a shot. I would wait until September or so. You don't want to send an in the area email that early and immediately after you get placed on hold.

Good luck.

Hey Nick,

I would firstly like to thank you for all of your helpful insight.

Secondly, I just submitted my primary application last Thursday (I work full time in a research lab at Mayo Clinic and I don't have as much free time as I would like), and I was wondering if I should be worrying about the timing at all? Am I already late, or still a bit early, etc? Thanks man!

cGPA: 3.89
sGPA: 4.00
MCAT: 32S

Rejected. Best of luck to everyone. Bye pritzky

As long as you get your secondary done within the next few weeks (before the end of August) you're not at all late. Since the prompts are posted here, I would suggest starting to work on those while you wait to get verified.

Thanks! From everything I've seen and read this school is amazing. Looking forward to coming down and visiting in person.

Interview invite today! MSTP, complete 06.28, 39S, s3.81.

I'm confused. I've been on "MD Screen" for over a month. That can't possibly be good, but apparently rejections or interviews are usually sent out less than a couple weeks afterward. Should I email them and ask?

I would call just to see what's up.

I've been complete since 7/11, I was concerned, so I called to make sure all my application materials were received, they just said that the committee is stil deliberating. So let me know if you get a different response.

What is the difference between "still deliberating" on a moved to MD screen status versus the on hold status for "further review"?

On hold means that the committee has reached a decision on your application and is a formal status. In other words, the committee isn't interested in interviewing you now but might be later on in the cycle. "Still deliberating" means the committee is discussing your application and no decision has been made yet.

Same here. Congratulations! Make a profile on MDapps so we can all check you out? Haha. And head over to the MD/PhD forum?...there is an interview thread started to help everyone out.

Thanks! My primary is currently getting verified and I was officially "invited" to fill out the secondary like a day or two later. I am trying to get a good footing on how to start these introspective essays. However, you have all provided a ton of help! The podcasts are great too!

Hey everyone,

I just found out that I received an interview invite yesterday! I never received an email about it even though the website says one was sent (nothing in the junk folder).. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Also, does anyone know what kind of information is contained in that email (can someone who's received it forward it to my email address 🙂)? I will be passing through Chicago in September (will be outside of the country before then), just wanted to make sure I'm not missing any important information from the email before I sign up for a date. Thanks!

I highly doubt anyone will forward you the e-mail, and I would recommend against anyone doing so. I would call or e-mail the admissions office tomorrow and ask them to resend the e-mail for you.

I'll probably call them tomorrow. Thanks Nick, I didn't realize that the email might contain sensitive information (was under the assumption it was a generic email).
I never received it either but I doubt it has important information because everything you need for planning your interview trip is all on the portal. Just make sure to go on there and pick a date. Pritzker will email you a confirmation of your interview date shortly after. 🙂

I'm also out of the cycle. good luck!

Hi everyone!

I'll be going into my second year shortly. Thought I'd pop in to say hi and wish everyone good luck this year! I haven't gone through the whole thread and probably won't just because I think most questions have probably been answered. I know there will probably be some incoming first years on this thread who will be able to much more responsive. Also last years thread probably has some good info too.

Northwestern vs Pritzker is a very long discussion that has been had a lot. In the end there are pros and cons to both, and I encourage you to talk to students and do a lot of research. It came down to this decision for me as well, and I'm happy with the choice I made, but obviously everyone has their own "best fit".

Interview is one on one, about 30-45 minutes each with one admissions committee member, one faculty member, and one student. The student can be a first, second, or fourth year (third years are generally too busy). They will only have access to your primary and personal statement, no scores, no secondary. The exception is if your student is also a member of the admissions committee.

If anyone has more in depth questions about Pritzker, what it's like as a student, or questions about the neighborhood, etc feel free to drop me an PM which I'm very responsive to.

Good luck everyone!

My application was under review for a couple weeks, but has since been changed to "Application process complete." I'm assuming this is a rejection? I haven't received any emails to confirm :xf:

mine says that, too. no email to confirm, though. hmmm, I'm a little bummed.

Just to calm the general nervousness...

I got an Interview to Pritzker today and I was under review for basically 2 weeks. So to everyone who thinks they can't get one because they didn't get a response in 4 days is wrong.

I know MSAR says...its about 1 in 9 who are interview matriculate...but does anyone know what proportion of interviewees get acceptances??

By my calculations, 43%. But this is just an estimate off different years of data and the USNWR magazine, and my (old) data say 3 in 22 who are interviewed matriculate. Anyone with access to USNWR Compass online would be able to tell you the latest data.
