Anyone know the %'s for IS vs OOS? I'm an OOS and not sure if applying to U of Toledo is worthwhile?

How do you know there is a character limit? It doesn't say that there is one on my secondary and doesn't say it in the FAQ section either. I wrote my essay and it has ~2,500 characters and it allowed me to put the whole thing in the allotted box.....

Is there any Website to check your status?
The last email that I received from Toledo says my application is complete. It was a long time ago. 🙁

thats nice if it did. I thought that there was no limit either and so I wrote an essay of 4000 characters lol. Turns out there were only 2000 allowed characters.
 
I noticed a lot of people complaining about not being complete after a few weeks from submission. Was the problem solved, or did you need to call them to manually do it?

I haven't received word that I'm complete after almost a month. I've called and emailed several times with no reply. I'm getting pretty frustrated!

I was concerned that I got screened out without them being courteous enough to let me know, but from reading this thread it sounds like they are just wicked slow / inefficient / unprofessional...

But still, has anyone gotten some sort of notification that they didn't pass the screen and are rejected?
 
Here is the update that I got when I managed to get in touch with someone in admissions:

The person who handled incoming applications and communication with applicants retired. There has been additional turnover in the admissions office, so they are short staffed. Things are moving forward slowly until they get the staffing situation resolved, but things are moving forward. As long as your application was submitted and you made your payment, your materials should be in their possession.

I made the alternate list last year and had a very positive experience with the school and people in admissions. My advice is to not get discouraged with the program and try not to worry too much. Based on my experience, this not reflectiveof the school's normal operating procedure.
 
I have only heard positive things about the administration; bear in mind some committees do not begin reviewing until September. This is not so much an indication of being unprofessional. I think different schools are on different time lines, and we are all just a bit edgy from the pressure.
 
same here. got a complete email. I wonder how/when they will review the file and when we will know about their decision?
 
I submitted my secondary on 8/22 but still have yet to receive an application complete email.

For those who have received a completed secondary email, could you please share when you submitted your secondaries? The invitation for the secondary application email reads that it takes approximately 2 weeks to process the secondary, so I'm not really concerned. At least, not until next week 🙂
 
Submitted my app August 1st, still not complete yet, anyone else in this position?

I sent secondary on August 16th and it was definitely more than 2 weeks. As I understand this, they are sending the complete emails in the batches, so I would expect a few days after completion! Good luck!
 
So I actually submitted this application 7/22 and I haven't heard anything back from them. and I've tried calling several times a few weeks ago and just got frustrated and gave up... anyone in the same boat?

Me too! I submitted a bit later (8/12 was when my letters were uploaded), but I have heard nothing. I have emailed them as well. I have a feeling this is just par for the course for Toledo and we'll just need to be patient... but I'm so bad at that! :whistle:

Same here. I tried emailing and calling cause they were not marking my app as submitted. I have the fee waiver which makes the app more complicated. I think I am submitted so I will leave them alone. If I don't hear anything in like three weeks, then I may call.
 
OOS here! Secondary awarded today less than two weeks; might not screen that well lol not the most stellar applicant in the world oh well but they see something or they just want $80 😛
 
So I was verified 8/17 and haven't heard anything from them yet... it's been 3.5 weeks and no secondary...
 
so do we just sit and wait now for toledo to contact us after getting the "complete" email?
 
I am so annoyed with this school. I submitted my secondary on July 17th and am still not complete. I have called and emailed and have not been able to get a hold of anyone and nobody is willing to give me a response.
 
Where did you guys see that the essays have a 2000 character limit? I've looked all over the application and can't find anything that specifies a limit. 😕 HELP

Disregard. Just found out it is 2000 by entering way too much in the allotted space.
 
my primary has been verified since the begin of august, and I still havent received a secondary yet??

Anyone else?

Same here. Verified on August 17 and I haven't received anything thats said they even received my primary.

No there isn't.

We all have been waiting for more than 1, 2, 3 moths..this is getting ridiculous! I really hope I hear back from them soon!

Glad there are others in the same boat, I was starting to worry. I called and left admissions a voicemail but I'm guessing thats not going to do any good since it sounds like they are very busy. Guess we will see

These people don't answer their emails or pick up their phones. It is very frustrating. I finished entering all my information 9 business days ago and sent them an email, but they have yet to respond. Very annoying. 😡

9 days ago and your complaing?

Most of the applicants to this school on this forum have been waiting 1 month plus. We need to leave Toledo admissions alone so that they can work and not just worry about nuerotic pre-meds.

These people's applications are time stamped at least. Mine is not. Per their email, it would take only 3 days to move my application. However, it has been over 9 busniness days and 3 times what they originally quoted.

What do you mean by time stamped? Do you mean marked complete? I also submitted about 9 days ago, and I haven't received the complete e-mail either haha I wasn't really expecting to for a while though

Glad I am not the only one. It says that it will only take them 3 days to do it. Why write that if they aren't going to do it within 3 days? It confuses applicants because it makes me think I did something wrong. The worst part is that our application isn't time stamped or considered submitted...and I don't know if they would manually time stamp it the same time that we emailed them or at the time that they process it.
 
dudes, stop whining, I know a ton of people who have submitted their primaries a month ago and haven't even gotten the secondary, so they're not complete either.

Including me, and a person in UT's SMP.
 
Anyone know what times we can call to schedule interview?
