anyone else who interviewed on sep 14 or before still not get the "committee has reviewed your file" status yet?

still have not been sent to committee :/ How can my interviewer not be present at three whole committee meetings (since they review application once a week)? I sure hope I am reviewed this coming Monday so I can hear something Oct 16...

This is the "further" status. As you can see from the thread, several people with this status got IIs. Good luck!

Thanks! Congratulations to you as well! I can't even begin to describe how I would feel if I receive an acceptance from VCU - my top choice 🙂

I would expect them to come out the 17th, assuming there are no problems.

"We anticipate making offers October 16, December 15, February 1, and March 16."

Are you OoS or IS? If you're IS, maybe you should give them a call to ask them when they would be going over your application to make a decision and to let them know you're still interested...

I think that because Sunday sometimes interview invites have been given out....a Sunday notification on the 16th wouldnt surprise me. Although I guess it depends if they put that info in the system this week.

I saw on a previous year thread that there were some status changes the day before decision day, I think October 15th. Some people who had interviewed in September and early October had their status changed to the hold status and some of them received acceptances the next day. Apparently, their files had been reviewed earlier, but the admissions office did not change their status. So, you can probably call and ask if your file has already been reviewed.

Yeah your file has not been reviewed you're supposed to get a hold messag after your file is reviewed. You probably interviewed too late o meet their Oxt 16th decision cut off

Was beginning to lose faith in VCU until I finally got the "further" status today! Was complete way back in early to mid-August. OOS applicant.

The interview day was not stresful at all. There were only five other interviewees - some interviewed in the morning and others in the afternoon. Before noon we were given presentation in the dean's office and each of us introduced themselves. Then two student tour guides took us around the school. At noon we had lunch, and then continued with the tour.

My interview was in the afternoon - it lasted an hour and the interviewer had three pages of notes about my application that we went over. Overall, it was relaxed and conversational.

My advice is - just relax, be professional, and have fun!

Just a data point for those interested: I interviewed 10/06. I just called admissions and they let me know that my file had not been yet presented to the committee, so I won't be hearing anything on the 10/16 date.

Of course, I'm sure that varies for other applicants in early October, but just wanted to throw that out there.
