Accepted Army today. This is the happiest day of my life. I have been in the National Guard for five years, and I commission Active Duty Army this Friday. Could not be happier. Also for all those waiting, I was in the bottom third of the Army list last time I talked to Dr. Saguil. Can't wait to join everyone in the summer/fall.😀😀

Thank you!!!! I interviewed January 17th and was placed on the bottom third of the waitlist late February (not sure of the exact date). But keep your hopes! I had given up hope and that's when I got the call! I am hopeful for all of you!

Just got the greatest phone call in my life a few hours ago from Dr. Saguil. I got accepted into Army!!!!! I still can't believe it!!!!!!!

To anybody who is still waiting, never give up on yourself and your dreams to enter med school. I hope that everybody reading this gets accepted into USUHS this year. This was my fourth application attempt (first at USUHS), so I am beyond excited

Ahh! I was interviewed the same day, waitlisted in early April, and (edit: bottom third) Navy too (a few pages ago I thought I was Army).

Now I'm super anxious! 😱

Recently a lot of current students have joined and are answering questions on there.. also as mentioned before, some staff members of the school are also members. I suppose this could even out those who still don't know about the FB group... but hard to say that the # of members accurately depicts how many are still holding spots in the class.

Sorry to hear you got one of those letters. Whenever able, I'd try calling and see what they recommend you do to improve your application. I was in the same boat last year, and my second try paid off. Best of luck!

good luck to those of you still waiting to hear back. I'm going into my 4th year now at USUHS, and we saw some pretty late movement in our class too. Even if you don't get in this time, ask what you can do to improve your application for the next go around!

In other news, I just wanted to offer anyone looking for housing, please feel free to ask me. Some classmates are offering rooms and houses for rent on the facebook group. I also know a couple realtors for those who are looking to buy homes, which I did. I am originally from the area, so I can offer advice on areas to live, or I can send you the realtors' information. The one realtor helps with rentals as well as home purchases, and is really responsive. He also put me in contact with the right people to refinance my house for a much lower rate that even USAA was able to offer.

If anyone has questions about anything, please let me know and even if I can't answer, I'll try to put you in contact with someone who can answer.

I'm currently holding a seat at my state school, University of Nevada. I'd love to attend either school. I'm not sure I'm ready for the commitment I'd have to make for USUHS.

If you're planning on HPSP at Nevada, go to USUHS. If you're planning to take out loans, go to Nevada.

I don't know if you should "expect" anything. As far as I know, movement will continue, albeit slowly, throughout the rest of the summer. Don't give up thinking it could happen until classes start, but don't put all your eggs in this basket either. I'm sorry you're still waiting. I hope it works out for you. 🙁
