Sorry if someone has post it but what does a pre II hold email look like?

Got you. Thanks! I got this email thinking that it's a rejection. Do they give rejection at all?

I don't think they've given rejections yet! I also don't think they'll send out any rejections until later in the cycle, so it's a perpetual waiting game for now.

They have given pre-interview rejections- I have a friend that's IS that was rejected this week

Got an invite for Jan 12.🙂🙂 Any advice on the writing portion of the interview. Thanks

I got an interview invite on Nov 8th, but I saw that only Jan 12 was open. Is this normal? Waiting 2 months for an interview seems a bit odd to me.

Nope, I've had worse, even at DO schools. I got an II to AZCOM in September and scheduled for December before I withdrew. It's more common than you'd think.

I am a re-applicant and submitted my secondary pretty late (a few weeks ago). Do you think I have significantly hurt my chances here?

Did you receive an II last time? And did you submit it late then as well? I'm also a re-applicant; last cycle I submitted my secondary wayyy late, like end of November, but still received an II--for the last interview date. Then got rejected with no waitlist.

This time around, I submitted the secondary first week of August, and interviewed the first day available (9/14). I had hugely underestimated the importance of early submission and didn't want to make that mistake again, since from my experience it hurt my chances more than any other factor. I wouldn't say you're in a hopeless situation by any means, especially if you have a strong application that stands out to make up for the disadvantage. But the pool of availability is definitely getting smaller and smaller.

Is anyone able to mention what kind of questions were at the interview and what the essay is about?

Has the login page changed for anyone? I logged in to check my status and I now see a line when you first sign in saying file under review with a red exclamation point. Anyone else have this?

I have this too. Have you received any correspondence about your application from them like an acceptance/hold?

I was told by an old adcom member that we OOS hold status folks should wait for January :lame:
Good to know, thank you. I just hope I have a genuine chance. I plan on making a final decision in late February and withdrawing from any outstanding schools that haven't interviewed me at that time. I have a complicated move and need to plan way ahead. I'm running a national RCT which will take me 5 months to train a new coordinator.

I interviewed in October and got the "not selected for this round email" a week or so ago.

I don't think they will get to the october people until December. They said late November when I interviewed on 10/27 but I think realistically it will be somewhere in december where we are going to be reviewed.

This is from the UACOM website
"Final Admissions Decisions
After an applicant has participated in an interview day at the University of Arizona, the application file is fully reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Interviewees can expect to receive notification regarding their application status between December 2012 through March 2013."

So does that mean that all of us that received that ill-fated hold email post-interview actually have something to look forward too?

Any suggestions on where to stay (hotels) on the interview day. Thanks!!

I got the waitlist e-mail on Nov. 7 and I was just accepted today. I'm incredibly grateful and excited. Good luck to all those still in the process. I'll be withdrawing the remainder of my outstanding applications and committing to UA.

Congratulations!! What did the email say?

Congrats gdortega! Out of curiosity, when did you interview?

My interview was on 10/9.

Derm, the e-mail said, in large bold letters, "YOU'RE IN!" Then there was a brief formality paragraph and a link to accept the invite.

No email at all (not even a hold).

Very scared as to what that means.

Congrats! Did you have the "File Under Review" with red exclamation point on your login page?

Oh how I long to see those words in the subject line.

Man, it would be cool to get one of those. Fingers crossed!

I stayed at Varsity Clubs of America, I think it was cheapest and 10 mins from the school. For around $60, I got a nice suite. This was in september, so not sure if they have the same prices. Heard today that I got accepted, so good luck charm too !!

I called them this morning and they said if you haven't heard anything yet, you will hear from them in the next few days. I kind of wonder if they have given out all the acceptances first though. I guess we will see. Gosh I wish I felt better about my interview there!
