II today, complete 8/15 core only, IS 3.9 36. They only interview on Tuesdays according to the e-mail, but unfortunately I was not able to call and schedule today, so I dont know when they start.
Haha oh did we!? Its hard to remember with all of this anonymity. I would totally schedule for that same day but I have a midterm, so Ill try for the week after. Make sure to come back after your interview and post some feedback!II today too!! We interview together at FIU last week, I think? I made mine for Oct 9
baymont inn and suites is really cheap. im going next week and i think thats where ill be stayingI'll be there Oct 30th also 🙂 and I'm going to look into cheap hotels. though I'm only 2 hours away I'd like to go for the Monday night dinner.
for people who are going to be there on tuesday, are yall stayin at hotels then since hosting is gonna be hard with the med students on fall break?
and are yall goin to welcome dinner on monday?! 🙂
I submitted my secondary on 8/21 and haven't heard back yet. I was wondering if there is an average wait time or if there is anything I should do in the mean time. As depressing as this sounds, will they tell me if they don't want to interview me or will I just have to keep waiting?
GPA: 4.0c Biochem major
MCAT: 29R
Secondary complete: 9/11
Still waiting for SOMETHING. I want to go to USF soooo badly!
This med school application process is giving me high blood pressure and other negative health issues... oh the irony.
I haven't been following this thread but I was hoping those of you who have could give me some insight... I included USF on my AMCAS, and have just been sitting on the secondary because it is so long. I figured I would just not complete it. However, now I'm kind of feeling a second wind in my sails. I would need to have another letter submitted to AMCAS (which I could get, and it would be a really great letter) and finish this crazy secondary... I know it's really late, but it also doesn't seem like thaaat many people are applying here? Thoughts? Is it worth even trying? I am out of state, 3.65/3.3 34Q.

Just because people don't post on this thread doesn't mean a lot of people aren't applying. I know two people at USF who have applied and are accepted in ED and they've never heard of this website. Anyway, your stats are pretty good. Just remember that it's a state school, so make your letters and answers count! Good luck.
Mind sharing stats?first II! OOS, complete longgggg time ago
I got the ii this morning!! Completed 9/24, IS, Core only.....Anyone going to be there 12/11?
I need some advice on submitting my supplementary. I haven't submitted it yet, and but close to finishing it. This is going to be my latest submission so I wanted to know if it would be even a chance for me to get an II at this point. I am OOS candidate with 3.8 sgpa 3.75cgpa and 31Q MCAT. Thank you!
SELECT interviewee here.
I don't really remember specific questions, but SELECT focuses on leadership and emotional intelligence, so I was asked to talk about my experiences with leadership, teamwork, public health, health disparities, etc. My interviewers were both really nice, and the interview itself was very relaxed and conversational. The staff really does a great job of making you feel welcome during the whole day.
One thing that caught me off guard was how small the interview group was - there were only 4 of us that day. It wasn't awkward though, and I felt like we each got a lot of attention from the staff.
Just got the call from Mr. Perez today with an acceptance. Super stoked! Good luck to everyone, the entire process is very low stress.

Have gotten II at OOS schools, but not FL..my state😕
Ughhhhhh![]()
Same, got accepted to 1 OOS and waiting for a decision on the other. Both have comparable or higher stats than FL schools.
Plus i went to USF, was hoping for some love but I guess not.

Also interviewed here last week for the SELECT program and loved it. About how long did it take for you to hear back from them?
