Are there still many spots left in the class? and How does one get onto this student hosting program?

I called today and the lady said the committee was behind on reviewing candidates. They meet every Tuesday and she said that they usually send out emails right after they review. Hope this helps.
 
That is comforting to know, thanks! I interviewed the 28th and haven't heard back yet.
 
I interviewed that day too!! Here's hoping next Tuesday?
 
They said the had positions available, I'm hoping that is still true.

That's what they told me as well but the waiting game just sucks...especially this late in the season, lol. Thanks for trying to reassure me though, lol.
 
Had a great interview day yesterday (even though a couple of us arrived to our first interviews late through no fault of our own!). The Admissions rep did stress that the class is not full and there are still positions open. Good luck everybody, really hoping to hear good news from Toledo!

A number of individuals may be put on a waiting list. This does not automatically mean that you will not be accepted into medical school at UT. The waiting list will be prioritized by mid May. When the list has been prioritized, you will be notified as to your priority status.

If this is up to date, most of us still waitlisted will have to wait another month.

Does anyone know what's the interview:acceptance?
 
Just to give hope, I was on the waitlist for less than a week before I was offered an acceptance last week. Good luck to everyone, hope to see you all in the Fall!

Wait listed. I don't get it. I'm starting to think I don't have a good gauge on how well I do in interviews or the competitiveness of my credentials. This cycle has been rough for me, lol. Just going to not think about it and just focus on my thesis...ugh, lol

I really like Toledo. So hopefully some movement later in the summer. Is there typically a lot of movement and is the waitlist ranked? I don't have time to flip though the forum today; if I don't get an answer I suppose I'll do it next week, lol.
 
Withdrew today. I thought it was a great campus but a bit too far for me. Best of luck everyone!

Hey there, don't feel bad. You could have had an awesome interview and they just don't have many seats left and want to wait before making a final decision. They re-review applications they wait list even before May 15. I am proof of that. In terms of how much their list moves, based on what I remember from previous threads, it definitely does move. How much it moves depends on the year. But cheer up, you never know what might happen :luck:
 
I am just a bit peeved by how confident they made you feel during the interviews. My interviewer told me she was on the committee and will speak on my behalf..etc. She didn't need to say all those things to give me false hope.

Aw, thanks! I appreciate the optimistic outlook and for that bit of information. Also, you're probably right, I did interview there pretty late in the cycle. 🙁 I sure hope luck comes by way soon- just going to cross my fingers :xf: and hope for a spot opens up for me, lol. Btw, CONGRATS on getting accepted to Toledo! If I get accepted, we can potentially be classmates! ^_^

I had the same experience at all 3 schools I interviewed at. At the end of the interview my interviewers gave me the impression that they really liked me and said something similar. I thought they went well too, but if they weren't going to rate me well I don't appreciate the false hope. Waitlisted at all three. It makes it harder to figure out what's wrong with my application if I need to apply next year.
 
Finally rejected. Only took them 9 months hahaha. Ah well, good luck to everyone else! Looks like a fab school!
 
Does anyone know how to get in touch with them? I want to know how to send in an update letter, but calling the admissions office led to an answering machine, and my emails to the medadmissions address has been unanswered for some time. This is a little frustrating.

Supplemental Application Materials (e.g. updates, correspondence, exam scores & unofficial transcripts) please do not send them unless you have a UT secondary application on file. Furthermore, the documents should be sent in a pdf file via e-mail to [email protected].

Same problem here. It seems that they do not acknowledge any updates and that they're never in the office..
 
Some posters sent them updates and received interviews afterwards. I wonder why they don't respond to post interview updates.

Yeah, two of the docs I work for (one is a grad) wrote letters for me in January, and I pretty quickly got an II. I mailed (apparently a mistake?) a letter to the dean of admissions post wait listing. Who knows if it'll find her.

Did they write letters specifically to Toledo? Who did they send the letters (or are they emails) to?

Yes, the letters were for Toledo eyes only. As far as I know, they were sent to the dean of admissions.

Is anyone that plans on attending Toledo doing an HPSP scholarship with the Army/Air Force/Navy? Trying to find a few others like myself 🙂

Has anyone else heard nothing at all since their secondary. I applied back in September, and I've emailed them back again in Feb where they said they had my application, but nothing as of today. I'm pretty sure at this point I haven't got in, but its weird considering every other school that rejected me sent a letter or email of some sort. Is this normal?
 
Finally got in touch with someone-I emailed Kris Peterson. Apparently, they aren't accepting any more updates.

The only thing I heard was not to send in updates, which seems strange. After that, I couldn't get in touch with them again. I guess I'm pretty far down on the wait list to be so ignored 🙁

I'll be more concerned if nothing is really happening post May 15.
 
OMG AN EMAIL FROM TOLE... Oh. Another "hold tight, nothing's changed email." My heart can't take many more of those, Toledo.
