Same thing happened to me with JHU, just by looking at the thread i knew they were sending acceptances first so by the time I got the notification I knew it was either waitlist or rejection. I don't know how hard it is to send a mass email to 1000 people but I just like the idea of being able to look at my decision and not knowing what to expect, instead of slowly agonizing.
 
Everybody has been having a hectic day. Hope everyone is hanging in there. Did anyone get anything from Dr. DQ?

I'm waiting to hear from DQ as well... although don't remember seeing him come up as making calls in the past? What was your interview like with him? I felt like he talked for most of it and worry I didn't get a chance to make much of an impression =/

I felt like that too I didnt get to talk too much during my interview. Dr. DQ mainly talked about how Columbia was special. He also stressed all the different things that Columbia had to offer. I came out of the interview kind of dumbfounded. haha

That's pretty much exactly what happened and how I felt!!! I think I couldn't even stumble for a question at the end because he essentially went over everything... I wonder what it means in terms of his recommendation (or lack there of) if we didn't get to talk very much?

I'm just hoping and praying that it was a good thing? Maybe he was confident in the both of us?
I know he has a busy schedule both medically and academically, so he might not be making any calls at all?
 
aw man seems like no one else on here had DD 🙁 i had such a strange interview with him...he didnt ask me any questions and he mostly just told me about his research and then we started discussing current cool medical research in general...sigh. he doesnt seem the type to make calls either 🙁 i guess ill be waiting till tmrw night when they post...

Haha yeah the optimistic side of me wants to believe we were just so awesome that he wanted to sway us or something... but the realistic side of me thinks that'll just get my hopes up too much. But yeah, we might just have to wait for those letters...

To restate what everyone else has been saying... I wish we all just knew when the waiting would officially end. My productivity is shot.
 
I am fully expecting tomorrow to be the fifth friday in a row where I get a waitlist or rejection notice, lol.
 
What about DG...not sure he was mentioned yet...?

My interview with him was similar; he was extremely nice and easy to talk to though.
 
Accepted a little while back to the Bassett track, congrats to everyone getting calls now! Best of luck to everyone

same here 🙁 not that i had any to begin with but my hopes are slowly being crushed...oh well i guess its better than having them crushed in a second upon logging into the online app.... 🙁

Same thing.. Kind of stupid how we only have one interviewer and he talks through most of that and it's half the time it's supposed to be. Makes me wonder how accurate the decision can be...

Guys, don't panic/lose hope. It has been said that not everyone who is accepted gets a call.

So... when can we expect official decisions to be posted or e-mailed?:corny:

Has your interviewer started calling? If not, I wouldn't be so down. 🙂 Some interviewers don't call any of their accepted interviewees.

We used to be able to, but once they got the new forums, that feature has disappeared... I'd wager probably over 100 people lol.
