The Dean of Admissions said it's basically to determine whether or not you're crazy, so you have nothing to worry about...unless you're crazy...
 
Does anybody know what days of the week FAU typically interviews? I'm interviewing at FIU on Oct 14th, and am thinking of sending an in the area email to FAU.

From what I've seen so far, it's been Mon/Tues/Fri.
 
Status changed to "Admissions Committee Scheduled" !!!🙂
 
Been at "Secondary App Complete" since 7/15....:shrug:

Interview Invite! The only date available when I checked was November 15th. Complete 7/20. 3.9/32/IS.
 
Interviewing this coming Friday. Can anyone provide any examples of questions they might ask for the behavioral interview? Also, how many interviewers are there per person? And is each interview really half an hour?
 
Accepted! Interviewed 9/24. Found out by being a neurotic pre-med and looking at the status page (it was updated at 8am today). Good luck everyone!

Not getting any love from FAU. I know several current students at FAU COM with similar stats as mines, I don't know why I did not even get an interview yet, I am thinking about sending them a lot of intent.

I also looked online and :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap: got ACCEPTED. Interviewed 9/24, Stats - 3.97/33
 
Hoping to feel the love tomorrow or Friday. Interviewed on 9/30 and the committee met today. Congrats to all of the acceptances and good luck especially to those in my interview group!
 
Still hoping for an interview.

I am thinking about sending them another LOR.

I now have a job with a medical doctor that teaches 3rd yr. FAU students, he said he would be more than happy to write me a LOR. But, I don't think they would care much about this because I already had a job with a medical doctor that taught 1st year FAU students and no love was soon yet.
 
Just got a call from my interviewer encouraging me to come here...very sweet and personal touch FAU 🙂

Who did you interview with? You can PM me if you want. I really connected with one of my interviewers, so I was just wondering if it was the same guy.

2,000 characters is not much when but I did my best to show them why they should interview me.
 
II just now! Complete in late Aug, IS, non-trad w low uGPA, solid post-bacc and SMP, 35+ MCAT. So excited!!!

I actually just got a call from one of my interviewers as well. I couldn't pick up so he left a message and wrote me a quick email. Also got another missed call from a Boca number at around the same time, so I am guessing it was my other interviewer. That is a pretty awesome thing to do.

According to the MSAR for last year:

There were 1674 IS apps with 51 matriculating.
There were 1230 OOS apps with 12 matriculating.

It doesn't have the numbers for interviews though.

Lol. Uh oh. Well I'm definitely excited to interview here. I got 10/28. Hopefully I have a good shot!! lol being a CA resident sucks at times 🙁
 
Need some advice in scheduling my interview date.

I'm currently an OOS non-trad working full-time and I'm taking 2 post-bacc classes outside of work. I have 2 midterms for these classes coming up with 1 on 10/30 and 11/09

I received an interview invite for fau on fri, 10/18 with 2 interview dates being: oct 28th and nov 12th.

I know earlier is better when interviewing so along with being OOS and FAU being rolling admissions, I scheduled Oct. 28th as my interview date. But I'm afraid this may be putting everything too close to one another.

Can someone who has experience interviewing at FAU and its admissions process tell me how it would be if I shifted my interview date to nov 12th?

Truly appreciate everyone's help
 
Finally a status change, at "review in progress" after being complete since 7/15. Fingers crossed.
 
My status changed to review in progress too. They must be starting to review another batch of candidates
