How sure are you about this? I had a friend who was accepted on Friday morning even tho there were interviews that day. Needless to say, I'm still nervous!

No, but I was told that they'd be interviewing through March. I think the first week of March is their last date if I remember correctly.

I got my acceptance on a Friday via email so all hope is not lost if you see an email from Dr. Henderson : )

I spoke to someone in the diversity dept (in person at a recruitment fair a couple of weeks ago) and she told me that Feb 28th was the very last day of interviews... Maybe they have added another Friday since then?

I interviewed 9/27 and got the acceptance email on 10/18 so no, no call here and my friend who interviewed the same day received an acceptance via email on 9/27 too.
 
I interviewed 10/11, got the phone call 10/26, and the email 10/29.
Now I remember Dr. Henderson told me the last day would be March 2nd, but that will not be a Friday, so I think he meant Feb 28th... But I am pretty sure he said to me last week that there were only 3 interviews left including the one that happened last week (2/14). Anyway, good luck to those who will interview soon!

But I called and they said they offer acceptances to about 220-230 people. Does that mean that all the acceptances being handed out right now will reach the 106 limit and then once that is full they will take off the waitlist? Or is there an acceptance pool of 220 plus a waitlist pool of ~130?

I was told from an admissions person that they interview 500, accept 220 (including waitlist), and have 105 seats in the class.

Oh ok, I might be wrong. I just remember a friend being called on Friday with an acceptance but they weren't interviewing then. And someone who interviewed on my same day got the acceptance call on a Thursday instead of Friday. I got the waitlist email on a Friday around 4pm.
 
I find it odd that I haven't received an email from them since today marks the 2-weeks post-interview. Are they updating your status on the portal?
 
Invited to interview for SJV PRIME today!! I know it has no bearing on my status at Davis proper, but I can dream.

I interviewed in November and it took about 4 weeks for my WL email. We were told it would be 2 weeks after our interview day but the website does say 30-45 days. Hope this helps relieve some stress, good luck!

Thank you! So is the 2-week update only accurate for acceptances and rejections or can those updates also come after?
 
I got my wait-list email around 4-5pm on a Friday. Another person I interviewed with the same day got her rejection email the same day as me. I guess it just depends...they seem to do acceptance emails and calls at different times than one would think...
 
So I still haven't heard. Obviously at this point, I am hoping for a waitlist. I had a couple questions on the waitlist.

Does uc davis rank each applicant in a ladder scheme like other schools and basically call whoever is on top for an acceptance? Also, when is the earliest date people can be pulled from the waitlist? I remember hearing that uc davis does waitlist a good amount of applicants, but are the odds still pretty decent to get accepted?

The waitlist letter states that historically up 50% of WL gain acceptance. Earliest waitlist would probably be May 15, unless a significant amount of people decline before then (why would they?) and spots are unfilled before then.

A buddy of mine said if I'm on the waitlist I'm already ranked (makes sense that updates aren't welcome)... So that's probably why the website states WL acceptance offers start 5/16, right after applicants drop.

It's weird, a friend of mine got waitlisted at Davis last year around this time. He got accepted in March or the latest April, which is before the May 15th deadline. I personally think the bulk of acceptances off the waitlist will happen after May 15th but there could be a chance that they could accept sooner if you are ranked high enough.

Just gonna wait until May 16, then call them to ask if they'd like any updates
 
I don't think there's any II anymore. Last time I talked to Admissions they said they would finish sending out II that week.
 
Can any students currently attending Davis comment on the "integrated" curriculum? Does this just mean it's systems/organs based?
 
Interviewed 2/14, I will be eagerly, anxiously, and prayfully (?) awaiting a phone call tomorrow as I stand in line at the social security office to get my name corrected =/
 
Interviewed 2/07. I got the call last Friday (2/21) from Dr. Sousa. Acceptance email from Dr. Henderson came Friday afternoon.

This is my first choice school. I look forward to matriculating there in the fall. Good luck to those still waiting.
 
Received a call from the Admissions office today!!! My interview is March 7th: their last interview date. I am a UC Davis Post-bacc alum 228/2009, URM applicant.
 
Also I wanted to give some hope to those of you on the pre-interview waitlist. I was waitlisted (aka put on a screening hold) on Jan 6th! Keep hope alive there is still time.

Hey. Current student here. Last year, the earliest date for a WL pull was 5/16. I believe there is decent chance for WL applicants - lots of my classmates (and I) were accepted from the waitlist.

When did you hear about your acceptance? Did you have to send LOI or anything? Thanks!
 
Around what time did people get their phone calls? Like should I get extra special nervous around noon or later in the day?

Can you talk about your experience so far. Is the curriculum truly organ based? I think not right? Is there an internal ranking of students? How about attendance? How many hrs of contact per week?
