For the LORs section what does Grad/Professional mean? I have a PI letter from a university I have never attended and wanted to know if it was even possible to include that letter. Thx
My stats are 35 MCAT, 3.87 GPA from a Chicago area uni. I sent in all my materials pretty early. Congrats to you, rfenzo!
I got my interview notice today! 😀 Woo!
But when I logged in to look at available dates, it's still blank. Anyone else in the same boat?

Congrats to you as well! Has anyone figured out where the interview scheduling grid is located?

Did anyone else have problems accessing the secondary application? The link they emailed isn't loading.
Do they send an email when they mark you complete? I'm not sure how to check my status...
Anyone kind enough to share the secondary prompts, anyone?
more like... are these really the only prompts?
1. Describe a situation in which you were really stressed. Tell us how you dealt with it. Please detail your reaction(s), and how it affected you. If this situation, or a similar one, were to happen again, how would you handle it?
2. Describe a hobby or activity other than something in medicine, in which you have a keen interest. Why?
thanks! If you are not a full time student, you have to describe your current activities and employment (3,500 char.), and you have to describe any disadvantages or complications that affected your education (150 words), to which you can replay 'Not Applicable'.
Hey Guy quick question about the pre-requisites:
Do they accept AP Credit for the behavioral/ social science requirement?
Also:
I understand what they mean by complications but do you guy know any examples of advantages that would be worth talking about?
Thanks!

In terms of advantages, I imagine they're referring to assets that other students may not have like doctors in the family, UIC alumni, etc. For example, a friend from gradschool could've gone to the medschool of her choice bc of her dad's wealth and sports connections...
BUT! It seems like you can easily shoot yourself in the foot with that kind of answer...
Or experiences that might be advantageous for your study of medicine - like a masters degree in a hard science 👍
That's a good one YB! I didnt even think of it that way...
Thanks for all of your reponses guys!
Really appreciate it!
Also I've been hearing a lot about their UMed program, I went to their website. It looks pretty cool. I was wondering if being in the UMed program=getting a full scholarship?
Good luck everyone! I was accepted this last cycle. If you guys have any questions feel free to ask.
First interview invite today! Completed 7/3. 3.8/32. Scheduled for 9/13. Hope to see some of you there!
Was this by email?
Yup!
Congrats on the acceptance! I'd appreciate it if you could answer a few of my questions.
I'm not using my school's committee letter due to some circumstances and so I will only be sending separate letters. Do you how the UIC admissions committee view applicants without committee letters?
Also, can I send more than three individual LORs or is three the max?
Thanks!

I would also like to know this.
For the U IL status, does applicant in progress mean that they are waiting for my application to be complete or that it is under review?
Where can you see the status of your application? Is it the part at the bottom of the page when you log into the secondary?

This might be a dumb question, but has anyone had the status "awaiting admission officer letter review"? I've had it for over a week now, and they have all my LORs and everything else. Is that just the status they give you before the review your app?
i got an II but when i log onto my page i don't dont see where interview dates are? i clicked the application status button and i just see that every box is checked and it says my app was successfully submitted... where do i find interview dates at?

For the EC section, did you guys put in clubs and such that you were members of but didn't play a large role in. Right now I only have employment, volunteer, and my leadership role. I cant decide if I should add shadowing and memberships.
scheduled the interview and it's 5 hours long!?
can anyone who has interviewed give any feedback with regards to what goes on? is that all interviews or is there other stuff as well?
