Anyone else interviewing in Chicago tomorrow?
Wow just woke up and there's 2 new dates but nothing in Chicago haha. The beauty of living in pacific time haha. Oh well
Yesterday there were 12 openings for urbana but this morning I called and they were all gone so I have to interview in rockford now, there was chicago openings at the end of october though
Man I didn't get this email, but I am an instate and fit their stats nicely. Hopefully things work out!
Has anyone figured out the difference between "applicant in progress" and "applicant in process"? Which one comes first, and which means they are actively reviewing your file?
nope
which one are you?
Progress.
I imagine this one comes first, since I had some trouble with my letters and am just complete today. Just wondering if anyone could confirm this.
I think 'process' and 'progress' are pretty interchangeable, but that could just be wistful thinking on my part. Did you get an email from someone saying your file is complete?
for those who have interviewed: i had my interview date scheduled but never any info on time, what building to arrive to, etc. when I scheduled it, it seemed like she said that info would come as the date approached but my interview isn't too far away and i still don't have info. where did you guys get this info?
You get this information via snail mail. Came a few days after I scheduled the interview via phone.
Also, for those who have interviewed: Anyone else's status changed to decision pending? Looking at the flowchart, this may be a hold status![]()

you sure you got it via snail mail? i don't think i ever received anything other than the initial letter inviting me for an interview
I just got done with my interview so I can shed a bit of light. The whole experience was very positive and relaxed! There were no trick questions asked and my interviewers all tried to make me comfortable. I had 3 interviews in all at the Chicago site (each one was 30 mins) - one with the director of admissions, one with a Ph. D., and one with Graduate Diversity. We were told that our files will probably go to committee next month and we'll get word back by end of Oct. Fingers crossed!! I really hope I can go here.
Has anyone received II lately? And when did you submit?
Just got one yesterday. Submitted secondary on 8/16 and my letters were marked received 8/23.
Unfortunately the state of IL is extremely broke, so there is very little grant financial aid. There are a few scholarships for OOS URM students that reduce tuition to in-state level. Many of our OOS students are on military scholarships, etc.Hi - does anyone know if University of Illinois OOS sticker price is what students actually pay? Are they good at providing financial aid? Last year their OOS tuition was $74,000/year :0

a few more questions:
1)does anyone know about the satellite campuses? do you pick what campus or are you assigned? i was just reading on the website about residencies (link below) and it seems like urbana is only family medicine/internal medicine? Is that the only kind of doctors they produce in urbana? If you want to be anything else you have to go to the chicago campus?

2) anyone have any information on the curriculum? does it differ much between campuses? all i can really find is this page but i was hoping for more in depth than that
http://chicago.medicine.uic.edu/dep...grams/doctor_of_medicine_/curriculum__m1_m4_/
i guess i'm trying to formulate "why UIC" but other than being an alum of U of I champaign and the school being close to home It's hard to say why without knowing much about the curriculum and what research opportunities are available
Status updated to decision pending, interviewed last week.
anyone have the MSAR data for acceptance rate post interview?
Does anyone know if I can submit my application with one behavior science left blank? I only took two, but if they review applications regardless then I can just take a course before I matriculate.I am not sure if anyone contacted them about this or knows this from another source. Let me know what you think... thanks!
