Yea, right? I think people who had been deferred were supposed to get updates on their status today but the twitter account hasn't mentioned anything.

You can see how many interview spots remain from the admissions tracker PowerPoint downloadable from their website.

Yea there weren't many people that were being considered based on what twitter said. I'm just waiting for next month!

they're filling the jan 17 and feb 7 dates currently, so probably ~40 invites still left to go out i would guess. no clue how many are still under review.
 
Twitter says 25 offers left will go out by 1/24. Haven't heard a word but my page still says under review so- fingers crossed?
 
Twitter says AEC is meeting today to review 12/6 and 12/13 interview candidates. Hopefully we'll hear good news soon.
 
Does anyone know if Michigan is interested in pre-interview letter of intent. I really want to go here but was put on the "on-hold" list 🙁

They take updates through the secondary link portal, but they really don't read them, per a Twitter from awhile ago. Per Twitter, they will give out about 25 interviews left from last week until Jan 24 (last interview day is Feb 7)

Yea, they've said that they really only take them to please the applicant more than anything else. Hang tight and good luck! 🙂

No! I don't think so. They said that they have 25 interview invites left. You never know! It's not over yet. 🙂

haha thank you 🙂 i guess everything will clear up next week. They'll be closing a significant number of files early next week (twitter)

From their twitter, it sounds like by friday most files will be closed.....

That video was AWESOME! I definitely wasn't expecting them to have my name on that envelope.😀 Otherwise I would have kept asking if they sent this to the wrong person.

Same! Not surprised -- I mentally cut myself off from UM after the last update in December (review finished but still open for later consideration). Hopefully all you fellow rejectees have success elsewhere!
 
Rejected here too. At least I'm out if "under review" limbo.

FYI for those interested.. yesterday on interview day Director Ruiz said he had "a handful" interview invites left to give out.

The good news is that means that they are most definitely not yet decided in whose open files are going to get those interviews, so they are not just leading anyone on.

Yes, it seems so. Twitter mentioned only 25 interview spots left closer to the beginning of the month too so they've probably filled most of the spots, :-/.

Is your account still open? Mine's the "open for re-review" or "hold" or whatever we're calling it. I'm kind of regretting not sending an update for the semester as I think I could of mentioned some interesting things but I didn't know if they were the "substantial" things they wanted to hear about. Plus, I honestly thought my account would be closed because it's been so long. Now I'm kicking myself because UMMS was always my dream school.
 
Sorry if this has already been answered, but are the preclinical years unranked P/F or is there an internal rank?

I can confirm this.. the last interview date is 2/7 so you should be finding out soon either way. I believe everyone will know for sure by 1/31.

One week prior to each interview day, Admissions circulates a picture profile to the med school of all the interviewees coming, so presumably they will finalize everything by 1/31 or earlier. I doubt they would make people fly here with a week's notice, so my intuition tells me that the last couple invites will likely go to in-state people (based on nothing more than a good guess). According to Twitter, the Tracker will be updated again very soon, so that will be a good indicator of end-of-cycle projections!
 
Update from Tracker: 7 in-state and 5 out-of-state interview offers remain. As for acceptances, another 35 out-of-state and 15 in-state offers remain. MSTP interviews concluded this past Friday here, so the final 12 invites are MD-only. They will definitely admit people from the 1/10, 1/17, and 2/7 interview days, so figure an average of 17 acceptances per day.
 
Rejected, 1/17! Oh well, I submitted really late (approx 3 months after I had access to secondary).
