It's supposed to get above freezing during the day, which will cause some melting, but then get below freezing overnight which could make things dangerously icy. My guess is closed Thursday and definitely delayed, if not closed outright, Friday.

Going to a, technically, southern school atm; can say 8-10 inches will almost certainly result in this.

They're just lucky this is coming late in the week, if it weren't for the weekend I bet they would have even more than 2 days of closures. Then again, snow forecasts in the south are also notorious for turning out to be wildly off-base...

Agreed, the last one (around a week ago actually) was the only decently accurate one. This storm seems to have more narrow bands of heavy snowfall.

There is only one Duke. I think there are more than one GF/BF. Maybe that won't go over to well so it can be an SDN secret.

I begin to wonder how stats are measured. If we come off the wait list are we "accepted" in the published stats? - Id say maybe not esp after 30 April. We all know those stats are not for matriculated students for certain.

So. Since I am not LM 80 but have had a good interview season, for the top ten I begin to consider wait list with late invite is the pathway to potential acceptance.

I hate this. Why can't there be one specified day where decisions are administered electronically? Or be super vague like Penn and just say they will be released before March 15 haha No expectations=No disappointment.

Edit: I guess if I didn't have SDN then this would be a non-issue though. Its my own fault.... I HAVE TO KNOW

I'm hesitant to answer, mostly because I'm not sure I trust my brain right now...

But I don't think that's the case anymore. We are already up to 67% of the confirmed acceptances last year (14/21).

Unless SDN has expanded its user base so much as to compensate for that difference (aka significantly more applicants on SDN this year than last) I think they are calling everyone, not just the shining stars.

It's high 60's/low 70's in the Bay Area today (it was warm enough to tan on the roof of our apartment this past weekend) all you who are admitted to Stanford and Duke should definitely choose Stanford over Duke and free up some spots for the rest of us 😉 #bribery
