Seriously. My wallet can't handle any more Duke-induced retail therapy 🙂Please, just let this process end! The up and down is just so heart breaking!

Looks like Nashville according to wiki. Vandy maybe ??Anyone who got a call, was it from a 615 number?? I missed one yesterday... Hmm maybe??
I know I know wishful thinking. Maybe a Vandy grad at Duke?? Nope it was a headhunter. Damn consultant recruiters.Looks like Nashville according to wiki. Vandy maybe ??
If they mailed them last Friday, then it should arrive at various destinations latest Tuesday...oh wellAt this rate.
People that didn't get an acceptance phone call (but were accepted) will probably have 2 rough days.
They already think they aren't accepted. Then tomorrow/wed. when the waitlists comes out, they won't get an email, so they'll think they're rejected.
Then when the rejection emails come out, they won't get those and think they're rejected or just totally forgotten and still be unsure.
Then they'll randomly check their mail and get an acceptance package.
That's rough man, haha.
So at this point no news is good news...unless it comes in physical form?
At this point, anything can/will happen...fingers crossedrealistically, no news is probably unfortunate news (depending on how you look at the waitlist) or bad news (rejection).
perhaps only a very very few amount of people (proportionally to those who've received calls) will be surprised by the mail acceptance package.
just trying to be probabilistic, sorry.

Yep, only God knows when they mailed them because one can or can't believe anything at this point. I still think a sizable amount of applicants will be surprised in their mail box. That's probably true under most circumstances, but I think snow/weather is really gonna delay stuff a bit in the East and then there's just distance to the West.
And God knows when they actually mailed them out or if they mailed them all out at the same time.
Thanks for the faith, I thought I'm the only one clinging to a surprise 🙂Here's to hoping we're all greeted with that fat packet in the email, fingers crossed.

Did you have different preferred/permanent addresses on AMCAS?Nervous about the neuroticism that this will probably cause, but I received my acceptance letter in the mail today. I live in Boston, so it managed to get to our snowy wasteland pretty quickly. I also got an acceptance call last night. For the record, the envelope was small, but had multiple papers in it (trying to cover all my bases with details haha).
So when the person in admissions said that acceptance packets would be mailed out, are we assuming that they are also going to people other than those who already received phone calls? Or do we think that the acceptance packets are just formal acceptances for those who were already called?
Thanks! Has your portal changed ?Nervous about the neuroticism that this will probably cause, but I received my acceptance letter in the mail today. Could you inform us if it was First Class mail, expedited in anyway, or just standard postage?
agreed! yikes! That's so scary. So if we don't get an email today we're either accepted or rejected; no in between lol.
You don't think it's possible Duke could be...wrong about sending out waitlists by email today, do you? No, no, they've been so prompt and straightforward all throughout this whole notification process.it's almost 5 ET.....how long could they wait? I'm just waiting until the waitlisted people start popping up....then I'll know I'm totally screwed.
Nope... have not heard anything.. May be WL ... Who knows..Any PCLTers hear anything?
Suspecting same here for pclt.Nope... have not heard anything.. May be WL ... Who knows..
what does this mean?
Totally standard. Acceptance letter has 2/25/15 as the date, but it was postmarked 2/27/15.
Got the letter today. Post marked 2/27 and I live on the southeast coast.
Positive vibes to those still waiting!
Did you get the call as well?
Wait so no portal update? I'm on spring break until next week.... Will I make the deadline to turn in any forms?
