OOS finally got the secondary
Ditto 🙂 OOS received secondary today!
I am also a FAP applicant and have that reduced fee listed. I think I would contact them to see if there is an other waiver.Anyone else have FAP here? My payment page shows $62.50. However, it also states on the same page that Tulane waives the fee. Is it only a fee reduction?
The prospective student FAQ on their website states a maximum of three letters.
Now that I'm receiving secondaries and designating LORs, I'm wondering if Tulane considers the composite letter (committee letter) as one letter? My school attaches all my LORs within my composite letter.
Does anyone know if each school has a different policy?
Got my secondary today!
So the question from last year:
What was the single most meaningful volunteer experience you have had? (150 Words Max.)
is gone?

Yes, instead they ask for an overall description of your volunteering and if you've volunteered abroad. 100 Words max.So the question from last year:

@MedSchoolBarbie
Are you currently volunteering or have you volunteered abroad?
I read that as only are you volunteering/have you volunteered abroad? not as regular volunteering... or is it supposed to be like are you currently volunteering at all? bad sentence haha

Yeah I think I misread 😕. It's probably all abroad.@MedSchoolBarbie

Just received the secondary this morning, but my login doesn't work. Anyone having similar issues? I see there were payment issues before but I can't even log in with the supplied password. Strange!
I'll give it until the end of the day to see if the glitch clears, otherwise I'll email them and report back for anyone in the same boat.

Try typing in the password instead of copy/paste. Sounds silly but that's what helped me.Just received the secondary this morning, but my login doesn't work. Anyone having similar issues? I see there were payment issues before but I can't even log in with the supplied password. Strange!

Wow, that actually worked! Thanks so much.

@hellolollipop This is the reply I got from Tulane's admissions office.
MedSchoolBarbie,
All applicants who receive an AMCAS fee waiver receive a fee reduction. You will be prompted for a $62.50 secondary fee when you submit your application.

If you select yes, then it should have a dropdown menu that has Americorps, Peace Corps, and Teach for America as the options. There will also be a space for another essay to further explain your involvement with the organization of your choice. (I don't work for any of them, but I clicked yes to see what would happen)Are you currently working or have worked for one of the following organizations?
can't see the organizations they are referring to, glitchy site? can anyone else see? if so, what are the orgs??
So does application in progress mean submitted? I've been having some issues with my LORs...
i submitted my LORs a long time ago and Tulane's status page says not received. it'll update in a week or two tops
I am interested in the MD/MPH program. On Tulane's website, it states that I won't be able to apply for the program until I get accepted into the MD program...yet there's a question on the secondary application asking whether I am applying for the MD/MPH program. Does anyone know whether I should be marking this option now? Or is it for current MD students who are applying into the program?

Only a fee reduction.
No, but if you are not successful this app cycle, you might consider the Two Lanes School of Truck Driving.Lame joke alert:
Is there a Onelane and Threelane?

AMCAS verified 6/16 and received secondary 7/1. Does everybody get a secondary at Tulane?

Does anyone else have secondary submitted, letters marked as received, but the application still shows as not complete?

Yes. Seems like a number of us are having the same problem.
+1Mine was like that for a few days but as of today I am complete.
I start AmeriCorps in mid-August. I am not currently working with AmeriCorps, but I will be soon...Do I talk about it in the secondary or not?

I don't think matters all that much. I think when I applied I did mark it. If you are thinking about it I would probably mark it. In any case you do not "apply" to the mph until like march or April or something. I have never heard of an accepted student not being accepted to the md/mph program

I misinterpreted that question as well (and submitted). Hopefully they will understand that there was room for misinterpretation and just ignore it once they realize a student made that mistake.
This may sound like a dumb question but some of the questions that say have you graduated yet or have you studied abroad (if so, explain), how do you answer the question if your answer is just no. Like would I write why I didn't study abroad or what I plan to do once I actually graduate?
I would just say N/A or a sentence that you did not study abroad. For the tab where we are allowed to upload documents with updates for the school, what type of format should this take? I had an article recently accepted for publication and published, which I would like to update. Could I just type that info up in a word doc? upload a pdf of the article? both?
