That's weird I got the invite same day as you but didn't see a 3/30 slot...

Someone could have withdrawn interview, and the spot became open.
i don't think so, I got mine later than that and I saw the 3/30 slot (as well as two slots in mid/late april)

I got accepted, but how do I accept my offer?

When did you interview?

Information on how to accept your offer is in the acceptance package that will be mailed to you.
Jan 12 I actually got accepted a while ago but never read the letter since I assumed everything would be online and I am away from home now. Do I have to send something in the mail or write an email?

Oh my goodness that scared me. I interviewed 1/26 and I'm still waiting to hear.

Anyone else from the 1/26 interview day hear any news?

Any idea when do they start making decisions on the Alternate List?

any idea when UCI finishes sending out II's?
Looking at the previous trend..they been sending II over a month and a half before the dates. The last date for II is 4/27. I would assume they would be done sending invites by first week or March..Second at the latest...Again, just a guess from what I have seen.

Still no acceptance calls for the 1/26 interview group? Or maybe none of those lucky folks are on SDN? Agh losing my mind a little bit.

I got an email. Thanks! You too

I'm sorry one more question for you. Did you apply for the MD only program or PRIME/dual degree? In past threads it seems people are notified about a week after calls go out via status update and no email.

Also if anyone else is wondering, a friend of mine who interviewed with me 1/26 said she got an acceptance call 2 days ago.

I interviewed for Prime

Hello.
Long-time lurker, decided to finally join and chime in. I interviewed for 1/26 for PRIME-LC and was accepted. I hope you get good news soon, too!

Thank you! And congratulations! I have yet to receive a call. I've accepted that I'm likely wait listed 🙁

Interviewing here on Monday and wondering if anyone could share a bit about the course of the interview day/their experiences? Thanks!

I got an II 2 weeks ago and sent them multiple updates and letters

What kind of information did you have in those letters (beside your updates?) e.g. did you have your intent/interest in attending the school, proximity, if at all to home?

ive been waitlisted and am planning on sending an update letter soon, want to know what to include. thanks!

If its not too much trouble, when did you interview and when were you put on the wait list? and via email or status update?

Well I first wrote a general update in early fall and it didn't seem to help much. I wrote a more personal update a month ago and mentioned how it was close to my home and how I wanted to have a Med career in SoCal and why uci was uniquely suited to equip me with the education to reach my goals. Also updated them on my new job.

What day did you get the call if you don't mind?

Did you send in any kind of update or letter of interest? Same question for oclax03
Nope! no updates or letter of interest, but I really really am interested, just wasn't sure if they accepted these. They did recently ask me for a copy of my green card and I sent them my newly granted US citizenship certificate🙂

What are the chances post-interview of being accepted?

In general, how was the PRIME LC interview?
I'm really excited about the spanish interview portion!

I contacted the admissions office back in January just to tell them that I would be in the area during the first week of February. They got back to me within a few days and said that they didn't have any interview days when I would be in town, but that they would put a note in my file. Other than that I didn't send any updates or LOIs.

Are there any current students (or aspiring students) that can comment on their thoughts regarding UCI's curriculum? I know that UCI uses a more traditional curriculum with normal physio in your first year and pathophysio during your second whereas schools like UVA are using an integrated system-based curriculum and I would be really curious to hear people's thoughts on this. Do you like one way or the other and do you think life is "easier" for students in one vs. the other?

Thanks!

Can any current students provide comments on on-campus housing? Would you recommend it over off-campus housing? Which of the three affordable options (Campus Village, Palos Verde, Verano) would you recommend? How easy is it to receive an offer if you are on the housing wait list as a med student? Thanks!

+1

I'd also like to know which of the housing is most recommended!

Is the alternate list ranked or unranked?

How much truth is there to a statement that was made earlier in this thread that there isn't going to be much wait list movement this year?
