I believe tomorrow is the last interview of the year, have you guys interviewed?

I have not interviewed. I though they said interviews will go through March......

If that's true, it's all over then I suppose.

Yeah I think in past years the interview cycle has gone much longer and it still may if they don't fill the class but at my interview they did say 02/27 was the seasons last interview unfortunately.

Unfortunately tomorrow is that last interview day.

Edit to add: at least that's what they said at my interview day as well.

Yeah I haven't interviewed either, and I was under the very same impression. I likewise could have sworn I saw interviews went through March on their website, so that's pretty sucky it all ends tomorrow (and you and I are supposedly silent rejects).

Which is ridiculous. I e-mailed a woman on the admissions committee back in November displaying my interest etc. and she e-mailed me back saying they would have an update on my status soon (never happened). I e-mailed her again as a last ditch effort last night which apparently is too late but oh well. Silent rejection is just so unnecessary if they know when their last day of interviews is.

That sounds really frustrating. For what it's worth, this is the new Dean's first year so things should be better organized and communicated in the future

RVUs board scores really do look promising, agreed. There has been a great deal of concern recently with administrative and teaching staff turn over though so it is unclear whether that will stand the test of time.

As far as the loan things go RVU as a for-profit school is subject to a justice department crackdown pushed by the current administration for the past couple of years. While they have been successful so far at holding back legal challenges the administration is still pushing forward. This article even specifically mentions RVU http://www.politico.com/story/2014/10/obama-for-profit-colleges-crackdown-112340.html

So yeah you are definitely right that things seem ok and even good at RVU at this time but I would certainly be worried about what could happen in my second, third, or forth years. Additionally I may just be paranoid but considering the founder and majority stakeholders have a history of founding a Carribean for-profit school and selling it to an organization as sketchy as DeVry, RVU just doesn't seem like a risk I would want to take. I certainly hope I am wrong though CO definitely needs another medical school.
Wow interesting. I sure hope this isn't the case because you are correct in saying Colorado needs another medical school...

Any update on adcom meeting?

Does anyone know when they'll release their next round of mstp decisions?
From what I can gather from this post they call people who are accepted around the Tuesday or Wednesday the week after. I dont know about mstp but I am pretty sure they are trying to have all decisions for regular md in mid March or so...

Are they going to offer any more MD interview invites? So looking forward to it...but I guess losing hope now 🙁

I am terribly sorry but from everything I heard and from this post today was the last interview day.

Now for those of us who have interviewed and haven't heard it's a waiting game. Best of luck to everyone, I'm hoping for that acceptance as well

Sorry to jump in here, but I'm concerned that something strange might be going on with my application and I was wondering if anyone else has seen anything similar.

I interviewed on 1/9, and have heard nothing back so far, which has me nervous to begin with. But instead of 'your application is under review', as many people here are reporting, my online status just says 'thank you for interviewing' and nothing else. Additionally, I got a deficiency report in email a few weeks back that indicated I had no deficiencies, but it was entered as 'no defiency' -- misspelled -- and I'm worried that my application might have ended up being automatically sorted as having deficiencies. I contacted admissions about the deficiency report and they said it was human error and that it would be corrected, but given my online status and how long it's been with no word, I'm worried it might still have slipped through the cracks.

Has anyone here seen anything similar listed under their online status?

I've had the same thing and interviewed several months ago, you're fine

I had the same status and was subsequently accepted.

FutureFACS, claduva94, thank you for replies. That reassures me about administrative concerns, at least! I wish I would hear something though, just to relieve the suspense. Does anyone know how many slots are still open at this point?

Just read the last page or two of the thread, that should answer your question.. And yeah just me, I feel your pain on the wait, myself and others have been waiting since October!

Yeah, I had read that some had been waiting for much longer; I should probably stop complaining!

...does anyone know when the next set of calls will be
I was honestly hoping for today but who knows. I know they had a committee meeting on Friday so I was hoping today but I have seen people on this thread get calls on Wednesday too. I am not sure how the people who have been waiting so long can stand it. I just interviewed in February and feel as though I am already going crazy.

I interviewed early October and still nothing. I'm looking at it as a positive though because that might actually be a record for post-interview waiting. Stay strong guys and good luck!

Gotta say, the long wait does not make me feel all warm and fuzzy about Colorado's program...

Sept here lol

I was in your shoes last year: interviewed in September and nothing. Hopefully they will have answers out to everyone in time (3/31) this year. Last year it ended up being a week or two into April. Good luck!

What do you think helped you this app cycle vs. the last?

I think the delay reflects how much they care about taking the time and putting together a solid and rounded class, as opposed to them being just slow. But thats just my thinking lol

I agree with this, fwiw. I'm a resident here and did my undergrad work within the UC system, and for all that Colorado is definitely not a cutthroat, lightning-paced place (jokes about legalization aside) I think this is closer to the truth.

What do you think helped you this app cycle vs. the last?

I have no idea, really. I had a little more shadowing, and a healthcare-related project I took on at my job. I think that for any one school, the process is basically random. Perhaps my interviewers liked me more this year, or perhaps the new dean is targeting a specific type of student. Maybe there were less 35 year old white men with liberal arts backgrounds applying this year. Again, I don't know.

I did have a much better cycle overall (many more interview offers and two acceptances on 10/15) but I think that was due mostly to careful targeting of schools where I was a good fit.

Fiiiiiinally.. got the rejection pre-interview email this morning. good luck everyone! Perhaps I will see some of you in residency programs in four years!

Just received my pre-II rejection. Wish it would have been sent earlier.

I feel like in general there hasn't been any acceptances for quite a while. I am hoping that they will be releasing some soon or at least starting a wait list seeing as that hasn't been started at all either
