Last year Michigan gave one student an early offer a few hours before their large batch of interview offers came out. I am thinking that is what happened at 2:40. The tweet says first "offer", so it would make sense.

I think the tracker is in general updated like every couple of weeks. I wouldn't think they would change it yet even if they had offered an interview invite.

Sure, but the tweet says first interview OFFER. Might really only be one and they will continue to follow the same schedule as last year. IDK im grasping at straws here

keep in mind that the tweet about today was back in MAY. The tweet that they posted today just said that they are gearing up to make first interview offers this week, so things could have changed between then and now, and the II's could go out any day this week.

Hey Everyone!
Just thought of sharing my experience with you all! I was an applicant who turned in their app last year towards the end of june. Michigan was my dream school! I kept waiting to receive an interview invite from them from June all the way till January! That's when I heard the good news that I was offered an interview spot for their LAST interview day in February! 60% of the students who interviewed with me on that last day got in! This year, I will be joining the incoming class in August! 😀 So, don't be too nervous if you weren't one of those students interviewing early. This is a VERY long stressful process so try to enjoy it as much as you can! Good luck to all! Go Blue!!!

I'm thinking this too... This early in the cycle they usually estimate to receive 800- 1000 apps and this year they received double that. I also know some of the members on the admissions committee were on vacation earlier this week so idk if that means anything.
