They have not reported very many more applications received in the last two weeks (219 out of state), but they have continued to give out a decent number of interview invitations (37 out of state). Maybe they are going back and inviting people they passed over at least once. (I suspect this happened to me not that long ago--complete 7/28, interview invite 9/4.)

Such a great experience interviewing here! I guess it's both a blessing and a curse that they haven't accepted from the waitlist in the last several years. You'll know if you're in or not as soon as your decision has been made (hoping for good news on Oct 14!!)

Wonder who you were. 😉 there were so many great peeps and super good looking too. No wonder the camera lady was flashing her light ever so frequently. Good luck to us!

I was complete on June 28th and still waiting for an II. Haven't received a rejection or II from Michgian (actually, out of the 20+ schools I applied for, only received one rejection and complete silence from everyone else.. Most of my secondaries were complete end of June to mid-July)

Sorry to hear that, I commisserate, but it is still relatively early in the cycle and I hope you hear good news soon!!! No news is good news many times in this process! 😀

I had to reschedule my other interview which was originally on the 15th. That would have been a big mistake: I'd be either overly hyper or overly depressed on that day and the interview would have been further disrupted by little to no sleep the night before.

Is there a consistent day of the week that umich has been extending II this year or is it more random this year compared to others? Not that I'm expecting much but a girl can dream 😍
 
have any normal stat people received II? like 3.7 32-34

File Complete - Under Review

I'm not worried yet not hearing back from any schools (no news is good news at this point) I'm just (im)patiently waiting for my time to come! Hoping the stars align and I get into medical school this cycle because having to write all those secondary essays again next year.. :boom:

Will be interviewing, but I'll be facing the northwest as much as I can channeling my vibrant energy to the direction of the Blue. BEST of luck to us!

I meant the AEC met today and made their decisions on acceptances that will be given out next week! Now we wait 🙂

II. All I can say is humbling. I have not been providing stats because they do not tell the story for any applicant. I was complete literally on the first day so for all other applicants do not lose hope. Dates available in December.

I absolutely agree with regard to the fact that Stats don't tell the whole story. But actually for Michigan it has a lot of significance reflected by the fact that they even put out a tracker showing the stats of different groups of people. Congrats on the interview!

I'm so happy for you and this gives me some hope because I too was complete in June 29... like the first day possible, and I've been Under Review ever since then! 😀 Congratulations!!!

Hey all, so I have an interview at Michigan Med soon; my problem is that I can't get to the 7 PM dinner until at least 8ish. What time did that end or what did you guys who've already interviewed do after that?
I'm wondering if I'm going to be an hour late, is it even worth going to the event or will it be over 🙁 I'm bummed I can't get there on time though.

I think you should still go. The first 15-20 minutes were just socializing. After the dinner, we all went on a brief tour of the central campus. You should arrive in time for the tour, and you could probably grab a bit of pizza first as well!

agreed. And maybe ask the student coordinator to save you a couple slides and you should have no reason to be shy about asking. The students have no say in the admission process and they'd be happy to feed a hungry applicant who just came in from afar. The food at Ann Arbor is something they are proud of. The seafood pizza and the house pizza were my favorite. The former was the most popular and it was gone in lightening speed.
 
The wait is killing me. The University of Michigan is playing with my emotions :arghh: submitted my secondary on 9/25/14, got a status update on 9/29/14 to " file complete-under review," and they emailed me back on 10/7/14 with an email saying "Top 5 ways to go blue" did anyone else get this email? I would love to go to this school.

Easier said than done, but really try to relax. Go have a beer or something b/c whatever you are doing now is not going to change the outcome.
