I just got a phone interview invite. Does anyone have information about the style of the phone interview, or have any preparatory resources?

Very general behavorial questions. The person interviewing is not an employee of the medical school. Have a glass of water to answer the long list of questions.
 
Hi everyone. I'm a little confused. According to my online status, my holistic review was complete on 9/01. I have not heard back from them - no interview, no rejection, nothing... What does this mean? Anyone else have this?

That seems normal. Mine was completed on 8/29 and haven't heard back yet.

complete 8/6 and still no phone interview invite. I had an onsite interview last year, so I feel like I'd still qualify for at least the phone interview. Oh well, I'll just assume the worst and then any good news will be even better.

Your app or your review? If it's app, I was complete around that time and only got a phone interview invite two days ago. My review was complete around the end of August.
 
I've been complete since July 28th and still no change in status...

I hope this info helps.
My holistic review was completed on 8/26, I completed the phone interview on 9/5, and five days later I received an on-site interview invite.
I am an OOS so not sure why things moved kinda fast...

I received a phone interview but the earliest slot was in october, the 17th.... So, guess I have to wait a while. Excited though!

No, my holistic review was complete back on August 6.
 
Holistic review completed 2 weeks ago and no news since.. No rejection, so really hoping for an II!

Yeah hang in there. My holistic review was completed for about 3 weeks and then I got phone interview invite last week!
 
Here's my timeline if it's helpful to anyone:

Secondary complete: 9/2
Holistic review started: 9/3
Holistic review complete: 9/9
Phone interview offered: 9/10
I signed up for a 10/3 phone interview. Hope it goes well!

I think there must just be certain days when they send a few things all at once so it's a matter of chance as to how long after the holistic review is completed you receive any word.
 
I know it might be frowned upon but for those that already had their phone interview could you give some example questions or maybe talk about any questions that you found difficult? I've seen a few that were posted earlier on the thread but I have my phone interview tomorrow and would like to prepare more for it. Thank you in advance!
 
I'm on 33+ days and counting for the holistic review so that can't possibly be good lol. Is it possible for the holistic review to never "end?"

Mine took about that long and I received a phone II.

It's a bunch of questions about you. Just do it.

It's not a preparation thing. You don't prepare for this phone interview. Just listen to and follow the instructions when they're given, and answer all the questions honestly.

Ok thanks for all the advice. I'm sure it won't be that bad, just want to make sure I don't get tripped up on any questions. And yes my phone will definitely be fully charged haha
 
I got a phone interview this past week and didn't receive the confirmation email. I had to follow up with them and by the time I received the scheduling email I had to settle for October 27th. Kind of frustrating when others from the same day got September interview times. Oh well, good luck to all!!

I doubt it. Mine lasted a few or couple days. I would think that having it end after 6 hours means one of two things: your app was really good or really bad. And I'm guessing it was really good. 🙂

Yeah, mine lasted 2 days as well and I got phone II. Like others have said, the duration of your holistic review period doesn't appear indicative of the caliber of your application...merely the variance in data entering habits of the reviewers.

Holistic review finally complete as of this weekend! It was weird to me that they finished it on a weekend. It took 3-4 weeks to finish, and everyone else seemed to be getting much faster turnaround times, so I was getting nervous. It seems as though some people have gotten phone II the same day as their holistic review was complete, while others have waited weeks. I don't know what to think!
 
Got my Phone Interview tomorrow! Excited but anxious as I'm not really sure what to expect...

If you're applying or interested in applying (or if lucky, have a phone or in-person interview scheduled) - now is a really good time to do a search for recent media coverage of the school. We just had our white coat cermony, grand opening, and public open house. Lots of media coverage talking about the school, its goals, and its students. A great way to familiarize yourself.

Looked at the photos from an article - started tearing up a little because I'm sap like that. What an experience. Congratulations!!! 🙂
 
We did just get our white coats and had our opening ceremony.

Don't worry about the timing. Adcom was super busy with all the celebratory events. Plus they are busy creating ibooks for us. So they have more on their plates then other medical schools, which may explain for the differing times.

Relax.

This may be an odd question, but could you tell us a bit more about the iBooks, and what WMed does with them?
