Did others receive a similar email about waitlist movement from WMed?

I'm thinking I'm out of the running more and more since this is the second email I know I haven't received. :-/
Don't think about it like that. If you are on the waitlist, they are considering you. I don't know what that means in terms of when/if you will hear something, but they wouldn't have waitlisted you if they didn't want to consider your application further.

I didn't get that email either 🙁 When did that email even come? Did a lot of others on the waitlist get it?

I don't remember getting an email about wait-list movement and I got pulled off this morning. I interviewed 10/31 and was wait-listed on 11/18. It had been a long time since I'd heard anything also - don't give up!!

This waitlist movement is exciting!

I'm still on the waitlist and WMed is my first choice. I've mentioned that previously (immediately post-interview) in an email I sent to admissions, but I was wondering if I should send them a "letter of intent" reminding them this (with a few minor updates).

Would this persistence help me or hurt me?

My advice sending an update (in all circumstance, including this one) is simple: Only send it if you have significant updates. You describe minor updates... that sounds like nothing significant (ouch, sorry, I don't mean that to sound mean!)

I'm pretty sure the school assumes you to be interested 😛 ... and if you're on the waitlist, it's because they want you but they don't have a seat for you (yet). Be patient! And if you do end up having a significant update, go ahead and send an update! But if not, I wouldn't do it.

To those of you who got accepted off the waitlist in the last week or two: How much time did they give you to respond?

Just withdrew. It was a very difficult decision. I hope someone from the waitlist can use my spot well.
