I got "family assistance" on my financial aid. Before i email them does anyone know what that means?
No idea, but let me know when you find out bc I have the same thing.
Family assistance is the amount of help they are estimating you will get from your family for your expenses. It's money that they assume you won't need in loans towards your total cost of attendance because you'll get it from your family (which may or may not be the case). But, if you just email them you can either get all or part of the 'family assistance' converted to loans up to the total cost of attendance.

I renTed a 3 BR place with 2 other girls, but one backed out and I was wondering if any non-smoking females without pets were looking for housing. It's in Little Italy on Taylor St, $700/mo + utilities, central AC, and I can send pics. We're both M1s at UIC. Lease starts 8/1.

I had that questions too. My roommates are current M1s and they say there is suggested to books to buy but no one buys them. Instead they look at pptx notes from professors or First Aid.
so if no one buys books do we need all of that 1600 in financial aid for books and supplies.
In one of the emails they sent us, it said you could choose to use that for a new laptop.

"approximately 1650 healthcare exposure hours as well as 1650 hours of community service experience" average from last year's class?
I received a secondary and I have about 400 hours of clinical volunteering/healthcare exposure, 800 hours of community service (with underprivileged and medically underserved), 900 hours of research (not sure how much they focus on this though), and I also received a distinguished service award
do you think I should complete the secondary or just save my $100 for another school?
