2015-2016 University of Colorado Application Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I sort of just realized that next week is thanksgiving. Bummer for us, although I'm actually feeling calmer than I thought about waiting.

But also, this is my top choice, plz accept 🙂

There were quite a few of us at our interview date... it seems unlikely that nobody would have gotten called - here's to hoping they still have yet to call!

When did you interview? I interviewed on 10/30 and have yet to hear back.

I'm pretty sure my tie was flipped back over my shoulder during my second interview. Think that'll cost me?

I've heard of that happening! I'm sorry. And to be honest no one can say. If I was your interviewer it wouldn't cost you but it definitely could depending on your interviewer. But I highly doubt it would make or break you.

When do they stop sending interview invites? 🙁 My top choice.

Hey all, new to this thread.

My secondary was complete 9/15. I'm OOS, with ties to Colorado (wife is a resident). GPA: 4.0, MCAT: 511
Haven't heard back regarding an interview. Are my changes of getting an II pretty slim with this school? I've been accepted to a few other places, but would love UCSOM

Hey, I have a quick question for anyone willing to help me out. When I completed my hours for work/activities on my primary application, I (stupidly) didn't realize you were supposed to extrapolate hours to what you would complete by matriculation (if I were so lucky), and instead only put the hours I had completed til the date I submitted my primary (July). So I put 70 work hours, instead of the 2000+ I would have by July, etc. for some activities. Sure did wish I had realized my mistake when I interviewed at CU, but I didn't. I've accepted my mistake, it was careless, so I'm not agonizing over it, but do you think it would be worth it to try to contact someone at CU about? I know they don't take updates, that's fine. Just curious as to any opinions?

Did you discuss your work during your interview?

With one interviewer, yes, but I never explicitly said I was working full time, but we definitely talked about my work. With the other interviewer, we barely talked about it.

No one can say. Obviously chances aren't what they could be but it certainly isn't over.

AHHHH!!! First II I am so unbelievably happy right now! >o< The waiting has been so hard...

II today!!!
I am beyond ecstatic. Colorado is my dream place to live and I would absolutely love to go to school here.

Hey Everyone,
I had been lurking on this thread seeing if anyone had gotten acceptances since the admit committee met last week. Whether or not that was a good thing for my stress, I am not sure. Either way, since I didn't see anyone else post about it, I figured I should post that they made at least some calls yesterday. OOS, traditional, MCAT 32, GPA 3.8, interviewed 11/13/15.
Best of luck to everyone!

Same to me. Thanks for being the one to post first, and congrats 🙂

IS, non trad, LizzyM 70ish, interviewed 10/30.

Congratulations to those that got accepted!! Very exciting!! 👍 thanks for letting us know!

Definitely disappointing not hearing anything, but I guess the wait continues!!

Just got an email about not having any deficits in my pre-req coursework. Anyone else get that email? I haven't gotten the call yet so kinda weird that they sent that...

Maybe it's a good sign 🙂 you could always call and see why they sent it!

Everyone who was interviewed gets it

Who has interview scheduled for December 11th?

So, if it is true that they only interview until the end of February, and people have already been getting interviews for that time frame, does that mean that they wont be sending that many more invites out? I'm worried since my MCAT scores didn't come back until the end of October (secondary submitted Oct. 30th).

The last go round that I applied-in 2013 for the 2014 matriculation-I didn't receive an invite for an interview until mid-January and the interview was for mid-February. Try not to let your worries get the best of you! 🙂

Lots of interviews are dropped when people are accepted elsewhere.
