That's good news for those of us still waiting to hear back after interviewing! Looks like they still have a lot of offers to send out in the next month or so as they're getting the waitlist put together.

Is U of Colorado done sending out II? Any info on the possibility of receiving an II?
If you do not have a rejection in your email you still have a chance. However, odds are currently very poor.

Well according to the admissions tracker they had given out 685 IIs as of January 7th, and now as of February 3rd it's 686, so I would say they're probably done unless somebody cancels...
It was 635 IIs as of January 7th, not 685.

If you haven't gotten a decision post interview- do you guys think that a "please let me love you" email would help?

They said they do not accept letters of intent or post-II updates at the interview
How about calling the admissions office and leaving drunk messages:

"Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you too
Don't forget me, I beg
I'll remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead,
Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead"

Anyone know which interview date's applicants are being reviewed in today's adcom meeting? Had a super pleasant interview there last week but I don't know if their turnaround is that quick.

Me:
"I threw a wish in the well
Don't ask me I'll never tell
I looked at you as it fell
And now you're in my way.....
It's hard to look right at you baby
But here's my number
So call me maybe?"

Admissions:
"..........."

Me:
*sniffles
"I'M NOT CRYING. YOU'RE CRYING!"

Not sure what they're up to now, but their turnaround is definitely not quick at all. They are being pretty careful about monthly acceptance numbers. I've been waiting 2 months post-interview with no news at all so they haven't been accepting many people right away post-interview. Looks like most acceptances will take place as they put the waitlist together late Feb./early March.

Does anyone who is interviewing on feb 12 know if there is a meeting the Thursday night before like there has been for previous interviews?

Just received the email about preinterview social. It is on Thursday at the Spring Hills Suites Hotel from 7-8 pm.

Cool, just got the email too!

Anybody from the January 15th interview day hear anything?

Congratulations to all who got good news today! Anyone hear back from the interview group on 1/30?

Is there a Class of 2020 Facebook group for CUSOM? Or will that be set up later?

Is Colorado open to pre II inquiry calls? I've been silent for 6 months now....

It will be set up by admissions reps later

I mean it won't hurt but you likely won't get much info.

Congratulations to everyone!
I also received the acceptance phone call yesterday AM, interviewed 1/8, in state. Really looking forward to getting the official acceptance email to get more information. Loved this school.

Did people who have already interviewed get asked a lot of questions about the healthcare system? I'm kind of nervous about not being able to give nuanced enough answers or disagreeing politically with an interviewer...

The closest thing to that question was one interviewer asking me what I thought the biggest barrier to health care access was.

As long as you can articulate yourself well in a defensible manner and DO NOT CALL THE ACA OBAMACARE, your particular opinion's relation to the interviewer will not matter. I do recommend reading The Healthcare Handbook to everyone, not only for interviews, but it is certainly helpful for them as well.

Has anyone received the email with accepted student info yet?

I actually called Mercedes about this earlier today. She said they've been having some computer issues and hope to have the emails out later today.

Hey all! So apparently classmates have identified me on here and have asked me to relay some information about admissions.
1. The facebook group has been formed. Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1518911331738066/ You can request to join now but it may take several days to officially get added because they are still working on getting a list from admissions to approve new members.
2. Second look day is officially April 8. The Springs Branch day will be the 7th.
3. For those waiting for news, there are three interview dates remaining. It is still possible to get an invite to one of these, but odds are understandably slim.
If I had to speculate, everyone should hear back within a couple weeks of the last interview about your status. I understand how frustrating that is but unfortunately it is difficult to run such a large admissions operation.

I remember during the interview day that they do not accept letters of interest/intent. However, does anyone know if they accept letters of updates?

I'm so glad I didn't have this thread on watch...no call, but an acceptance!

Question about the two forms required within two weeks of getting an acceptance (University of Colorado School of Medicine contract and the Verification of Colorado Residency form). The contract makes it sounds like we are committing to go—is this the case? CU is currently my #1 pick, but I'm waiting to hear back post-interview from a couple schools. I will probably hear back from them in 3-4 weeks.

They do not.

It is not a commitment. It is just needed to hold your spot.

Hello everyone,

I was just curious as to whether or not you guys have received information about the Prospective Student Portal? I remember that they were supposed to send it out around the time that we would be completing the financial aid information, but I figured I would check in with you guys because I have had issues receiving e-mails from the school!

Does anyone know what the date is for when all medical schools have to accept at least the number of their class? Also, what is the date of the last interview day?

I don't think that is a set requirement. And presumably the 25th

From AMCAS's Traffic Rules for Admissions: "By March 15 of the matriculation year, each school or program [must] have issued a number of offers of acceptance at least equal to the expected number of students in its first-year entering class and have reported those acceptance actions to the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS)."

Ah I stand corrected. Very interesting.

Also, does anyone have more information on when/how we ask admissions about our application and what to work on (for denied post-interview applicants)? I read somewhere that they invite you to a post-interview info session.. does this go out to ALL post-interview applicants not admitted? Just a few? Does it give you the opportunity to ask about your specific application or is it just a generalized information session? So many questions and I can't find much information on it.

So nervous because I haven't been notified about an interview or rejection yet! I'm an in-state resident and have history doing research and volunteering at the school's health network. Had my secondary turned around within 2 weeks. Anyone know what the interview invitation status is/how many spots are even open/if they will be interviewing for much longer??

Do you mean you got an acceptance email but no phone call? Accepted elsewhere? Accepted through the portal?

I did not get a phone call on Tuesday. Maybe my phone was in an area that doesn't get service? But I got the acceptance email Wednesday like everyone else. I was just saying that I was glad I hadn't been checking the thread, because I would've thought no Tuesday call = no acceptance and that wasn't the case for me.
