Same. It's like torture waiting for this app knowing that a few chosen ones had their hands on the secondary since last week. I'm thinking UIC is waiting to open the flood gates until they know their payment system is working properly. It's seems to have been quiet since they sent out the first bunch last week.waiting as well, in state!

Also, from what I could tell, the only people that received them on SDN took the new MCAT and scored quite well.
Yeah, who knows. My n=2 in this thread that have said they got the secondary, so I wouldn't publish that data 😛.I took the new MCAT and did well but no secondary
Maybe only oos ppl got it so far
class of 2040 wOOoo00oooOOOOoHNope. The admissions office is looking to release 1 secondary per day. You should get yours sometime between now and July 2037. I hope you are not in a hurry.
They are having issues with their system--- this is why they have not sent more secondaries yet!!!! CASE CLOSED 😵In case anyone else was having the same issue as I was (receiving secondary, not being able to log in), the admissions office said there are technical issues they're trying to resolve. This might also explain the issue with you guys still waiting for the secondary!
See belowI mean, I guess the website does say they screen for applicants they are "seriously considering," so maybe they are just taking their sweet time in "seriously considering" you all, whatever that means. Whatever it is, maybe it's a bit more intense than just a cutoff, so it takes time? I cannot imagine what criteria the order is decided in though. It can't be last name, DOB, social security number, verification date, AMCAS id, MCAT test date, zip code (605xx represent!), if you're from the U of I system, LoR receipt date, or GPA.
The only thing I can think of is they randomly assign you a number and do it in that order, or by MCAT score.
Did you take the new Mcat?Strange, I added this school last week and got its secondary the day after. OOS and non-URM, for what it's worth. Call them maybe?
No, the old one.Did you take the new Mcat?
:OIS and just got the secondary an hour ago
yea this confuses me as well."Describe any advantages and/or complications you encountered during your progression in education. Please include any noteworthy achievements and/or obstacles. (Examples: Acute or chronic illnesses, employment, financial difficulty, managerial role in household, etc.) (Don't exceed 150 words)
If you did not experience an advantage and/or complication during your education please indicate 'Not Applicable'"
I am assuming they mean disadvantages, right?
yea this confuses me as well.
yup that's what I'm doing. Oh wait, still don't have their secondary 😛I just avoided it. Unless you really have something to say. It seems not worth the delay of submitting.
+1 OOSFinally got the secondary!
Same! IS 9:50am CT, verified 6/2. I think the release of these are completely random. If you haven't received one yet, I wouldn't worry. UIC didn't send out IIs until 8/19 last year, so you have plenty of time to be reviewed before then. Finally got the secondary!
Basically you get a drop-down list of all your courses listed from AMCAS or you can fill in the blanks manually. If you haven't taken a course, you just leave it blank which indicates that you haven't taken it but understand that it is necessary to complete prior to matriculation. Advanced bio can be any upper div bio ie. genetics, human repro, microbio, etc.considering applying OOS, but I don't have an advanced level biology course...how does it work on the secondary when marking down the prereqs? I don't really have plans right now to take any more classes (graduated a couple years ago) but if I managed to get accepted I would before matriculation...just curious if they ask "anticipated" classes or anything

They also require 3 behavioral/social science courses, 2 of which need to be under the same field. I graduated before the new MCAT required those courses so I emailed admissions to see if language courses could be used instead since they just want to make sure you're well-cultured and not just taking science classes.
I emailed them this afternoon and am still waiting for a response. I'll let everyone know once I hear back! (I might just call if they don't respond by tomorrow)Did they OK language requirements?

Umm, don't hold your breath on that email response. I never got a response to the admissions requirements question I emailed *months* ago, so I tried calling. I was told I could only call with admissions questions on Thursdays between 1 and 4. No joke. Just letting you know so you can plan to call on Thursday p.m. if you want.😉I emailed them this afternoon and am still waiting for a response. I'll let everyone know once I hear back!
