I just finally had a chance to look and I didn't see any either. I might start keeping an eye out for new openingsThey must have closed all those openings because there is nothing now! Or y'all took them all 😉
I was thinking the same thingI just finally had a chance to look and I didn't see any either. I might start keeping an eye out for new openings![]()
If it allows you to change it then I doubt it's frowned upon. Congrats on being able to move your interview up 2 weeks!I guess. I just made a reservation for an earlier one. Not sure if we're supposed to do that or not haha
Edit: don't forget to delete your old one lol
If you submitted it only a few days after you received the secondary, there's no way you submitted too late. They probably are just being thorough with all of our apps. I wouldn't be scared yet!For those of you who called and checked on the status of your application, what did you say when you called? Just straight up asked "what's the status of my app" ?
IS, first time applicant, UNC is my #1 choice by miles and miles.....and miles. Submitted primary 8/27, received UNC secondary 9/5, submitted secondary 9/11........no word yet. I'm scared I submitted primary and secondaries way too late.
Any input is welcomed and appreciated![]()

Just got the call!!! So excited!
Do you remember who your interviewer on the committee was? I ask since some people last cycle didn't get phone calls and some did, depending on the interviewer they had. I had Dr. Jenson. Thanks and congrats again.

I am as well - complete 8/18I called to check on mine a few weeks ago and was told "we're in the process of reviewing reapplicants." I submitted my secondary 8/9 and have yet to hear anything else. Considering that by this time last year I had my interview scheduled, I am panicking. Is anyone else in the same/similar boat?
During my interview they told us that we will know when we know.Does anyone remember what they said about the earliest we could get an acceptance after our interview?

Ditto. Literally sitting on the edge of my seat for some good news. Death by anticipation is for certain come week 9Yes, this is what I'm sticking to. Joni mentioned how they used to list 4-8 weeks online but have since removed it since many wait longer than that. This is the one downside to UNC so put on your special patience pants.
To keep myself sane, I'm picturing an 8 week minimum wait. Despite this, I'm feeling anxious and it's only week 1 haha. Haven't been this excited for something in a long time so its tough to keep cool and wait wait wait. In the meantime I will post here, actively ignoring my own advice and maintaining an unhealthy level of thought about it all! At the end of the day I'm just happy to have had a chance to interview.
Hey guys! Any insight into how many acceptances UNC gives out to fill a class? 🤣
I think you are the only person who has posted that they have been accepted on SDN. I am really surprised how quiet it has been on here. They enroll 180 and they mentioned how proud they were of 77% accepting and attending. That leaves about 41 seats after 180 offers, so maybe 180+40+15=235ish?
Either SDN students are sucking this year, or schools are taking their sweet ass time this cycle. I'm going to hope for the latter.
My reality is that they could accept me 5hrs before class & I wouldn't think twice about it. 5hrs cause that's the amount of time it would take me to drive there. I will worry about my clothes and things later. I'm chasing a dream that has taken 15years to evolve to this point.I really did not like hearing that. I'm all for the acceptance opportunities, but to think of the rapid life adjustments needed for getting notice the day before orientation... kinda harsh

"With our powers combined!" LolI hope we are classmates next year Mockingjay. I feel the same way- UNC is my top choice school and I want to go there with students as elated to be there as I would be

Hello everyone! I'm applying to UNC next cycle, anyone have some specific advise? Does anyone know if they're non-trad friendly? I'm an NC resident. Maybe any current students could also chime in here?? (36 yo) Thank you all and congratulations to everyone accepted 🙂 !!!!
I do believe they are non-trad friendly, especially for IS applicants. At least I hope so. I'm in that boat (40 y/o) and got an II.Looking at the stats on their website, most of the students are in their low twenties but there are a few "older" students. I met at least one non traditional student during my interview who worked in a couple different fields before deciding to apply to med school so I think your chances are good.
