What we thinking, more II on Monday? I'm freakin' out.

Just saw above the last person that reported interview dates had October 31st as the earliest. Just wanted to let everyone know for me there were Mondays and Wednesdays available from 10/12 to early Nov. I had about 10 options!

That's good to know. Now I just have to get an interview invite. Easy peasy!

Does BU have rolling admissions? I couldn't find anything about it on their website. And if so, would interviewing on October 12th vs November 16th be better, or would it not really make a difference? Thanks!

I believe they sent out acceptances in January and March

Per MSAR, earliest acceptance notice is Jan 2017, so they may be partially rolling (ie: might do acceptances in a few waves). Someone else on here may know more

Thanks @Karabo and @Axe1636 ! So would there be an advantage to interviewing in Oct vs Nov? I know that's not much of a difference...

Not sure, I would just go with the date that is the best for you (where you will be the most relaxed/least stressed out). I would think either the Oct or Nov date would get you reviewed for the January batch of notifications.

Karabo is correct there are two rounds of accetances so if you interview before the Jan accetance you're on theretical equal ground with people who interviewed before you.

All the October dates were taken. Anyone interviewing on Oct 12th want to switch with my Nov 16th date? 😛

Seeing some folks with late August complete dates getting interview invitations, and now seeing that all of the October interview dates are filled up, I'm starting to wonder how that bodes for my application. I was complete late August and have not heard anything yet. I tried to get a sense from last year's application thread as to how late in the game a late August complete date could see an II. Has anybody else tried to figure that out? Or anybody monitoring this thread who has been through the experience? It was a little difficult to suss out. Trying to stay optimistic but also want to be a little realistic... But maybe it's the case that II's are fair game for anybody up until the end of the year?

I think if you're complete by Aug 23rd, you're in fair game for interview round 1 which lasts until December. I think they stop giving interview invitations in November, which are for round 2 people.

I've been complete since mid July. Does that mean I am basically f***ed?

Ok, I feel a little better - thank you! It's still curious, though, as to how they dole out II's, especially those later Round 2 interviews going into February. I wonder if those spots are typically for really late applications? Then again, I'm starting to get the feeling that this process is nowhere near as linear as I've been assuming... I figured that they'd get to July folks, then August folks, etc. But now I feel as if it's less first come, first serve than (my) logic would dictate. But then again everybody tells you to apply as early as possible! Agh! This is painful. And on top of all of that, it's a campaign year so my e-mail dings every other hour with an e-mail from Michelle Obama, who probably doesn't even KNOW I'm applying to medical school.

What's the best/cheapest way to get to BU from boston logan?

If time is not an issue, you can take the Silver Line from the airport to South Station, then the Red line to Downtown Crossing and then the Orange line to Mass Ave. ( look up the Boston T map and look for these colors)

Then you can hop on the nearby BU shuttle (see BU shuttle website for map) and it will take you to campus.

In my experience, going from the airport to BUSM this way is free. The return trip will cost you the price of one subway ticket. Alternatively, you can get out of the subway at any point and uber it.

Take the silver line to south station then uber from there. It'll take you a while to get there if you're taking the T all the way

Roast beast for roast beef sandwiches if you want to venture a bit farther away from BUMS.

Yoooooo II! Not too long ago, let's ******* goo! LizzyM 68, with high MCAT, low Gpa, complete 9/12, interview dates were October 7 (strange right?) December 2nd and 4th, I couldn't make Friday cause it's too short notice, but I guess I'm Boston bound in December

Congrats, when were you complete?

Not sure if this has been answered, but is BU receptive to "in the area" emails if you have an II at another school and are not living in the New England? I was unable to find any information on this on their applicant portal and on their current applicant FAQs...
