Was feelin so fresh last week after getting one interview, thought this week would keep the good times rolling, got rejected from one school earlier this week and Tulane today.

Feeling like **** tbh like damn it took them no time to decide to chop me.

It's okay!! I also just got rejected from Tulane and it's annoying. But it's still super early in this whole cycle. It's a marathon, not a sprint. We gotta just be patient.

FINALLY GREEN. I was done 7/16. Now to wait some more.

That's so weird that you would turn green after me because I submitted my secondary a little more than a week after you. I don't think it means anything but it seems like they're chronological in batches instead of super strictly chronological since I was done on the 24th. idk!

I went green sometime this week (I hadn't checked for a few days). I am supposed to take the CASPer tomorrow, so I am really hoping I get to finish it before a decision is made, otherwise it would kind of be for nothing. I wasn't complete until 7/26. Good luck to y'all!

Rejected via email this morning and haven't heard back from any other schools I applied. So bummed. 🙁 Lizzy M=70, uGPA: 3.89. Completed 7/15

Rejected earlier today, completed secondary 7/14

How long can us new green boys expect this winter to last before rejection/II?

Anyone know how CASPer factors into interview invite decisions or post-interview decisions?

My guess is that people around 7/16-7/18 can expect to start hearing back next week

Should I bother completing Tulane's secondary if I only have a very tiny amount (~20 hours) of non-clinical community service?

I can't believe they charge FAP applicants over $60 for their secondary. It almost seems as though they are saying: "Well, we know that you are poor...and we frankly don't give a ****". Perhaps untouchables are not wanted at this school.

Lol untouchables? What is this the caste system?

That is bs though that they make you guys pay 50% any way. Seems greedy.

Right? Untouchables may be a term that is too harsh. However, the parental income of current medical students is well over 100k/year (at some schools, it's over 150-200k). So when a school like Tulane decides to charge FAP applicants, they are making an already skewed process even tougher for those who are socioeconomically disadvantaged (treating them, almost, like untouchables).

It's not a big deal, they can do what they want. However, I believe that they are the only medical school that requires FAP applicants to pay a fee. Also, I find it odd that they love students who live a life of service (Americorps, Teach for America, etc.), but yet they are purposely telling the low-SES individuals who have benefited from those services to *iss off and pay up".

I'm actually grateful that they only charged half. Some schools like UMaryland actually don't give FAP recipients anything :/

I prefer the 60 bucks to stay in my pocket so I can eat.

Hey man, just remember that it's gonna be worth it in the end. I justify it to myself by thinking it's a drop in the bucket compared to tuition. This ain't a poor man's game, but we're all still playin!

Rejected today. LizzyM~72-73, OOS, Complete 7/16. Best of luck to everyone else!

Edit: Oh and anyone wondering about the Green Check, I had one for about 2 weeks or longer. I got it pretty quick, so my guess was that they were unimpressed with me from the get go? Not really sure

Ugh I submitted on 07/11 and still haven't hear back . I'm getting nervous because I haven't received any II's yet. Crossing my fingers for all of us!

Rejected here too. This whole green check mark thing is hilarious to me. It clearly indicates that you are in process of being reviewed nothing more nothing less - but this wouldn't be sdn if people weren't being neurotic and thinking there is some deeper meaning behind it.

All I can think of is divinations and prof Trelawney

Anyone complete 7/19 or post here anything about an interview or rejection yet?

Just submitted my secondary. Sounds like a lot of people have gotten II's. I hope I'm not too late. I wonder if being an eagle scout will end up giving me some sort of advantage.

Complete on 7/28 and got the green check. Is the general sentiment that it's random on when we'll hear back after the check?

Did you get an email about being complete? I got an email saying they received my secondary, but my online portal has a green check saying I am complete (but there is also a red check next to in progress).

no complete email, and green check was around 2 weeks later.

Is there anything on the portal that tells you if they've received CASPer results?

Is there a correlation between a green check mark and signing up for CASPer?

complete the same day and just noticed check as well

Is there anybody having the same problem:
I cannot login to the secondary portal, it just kicks me back to the login page again and again...

Has anyone who checked off that they were applying mph on the secondary, gotten an invite or been rejected yet?
