I haven't gotten a secondary yet, and I know that means a likely rejection by this point... but I also have not gotten any sort of communication from ucsf. No link to a portal or anything. Is that normal pre-secondary? Is it possible my app got lost...

yes, i was wondering the same thing before I got my secondary - you won't hear from them at all until you'rei nvited to fill it out
 
I've still got 2 weeks to submit my secondary............just delaying the inevitable (DE-NIED)
 
Complete on 8/31 here and haven't heard back yet. I know they are going slow, but I just received an II to Mayo-AZ and I am from the East coast with not a whole lot of funds. Are they receptive to ITA notifications? Or should I just wait until they get to me?

Idk if they are receptive, but Phoenix is very much not in the area of San Francisco.

I wanna say they aren't (based on what I remember from my interview day). Though I understand your reasoning though for sure. I'm also in the east coast and I did those two interviews right after each other. It's only ~$70 for an Oakland to Phoenix plane ride! I think I saved ~$150-200.
 
Rejected today pre-secondary! Not surprised lol. submitted primary in june.

He said something about late December, but there's also a letter in the interview packet that says expect a decision in January.
 
Has anyone who submitted the secondary early August for PRIME gotten an II yet?

That's exactly what I'm wondering. I've seen a couple of PRIME interviews in this thread but not very many. Plus their website isn't the most informative.

yes but there are certain "PRIME days" they recommend signing up for which allow you to learn more about the program.

PRIME interviews are after you're admitted, however.

II the other week.
 
I submitted 8/24 and haven't head anything. At least not a rejection... yet!

Do you mind sharing your complete date? And also how does it work? Earlier people said you interview for PRIME after the reg MD II, is that the case? Or is this the first news you heard since being complete?

I submitted my secondary 9/01. So from my understanding you interview for the regular MD program first and if accepted you get an over the phone interview for the PRIME program. The dates that were a available to me were PRIME information days ( regular md interview plus I'm guessing a presentation about PRIME) but if you can't make it to those days you can email them and ask for the other available interview times.

I just realized I submitted 8/31 and @AryaStark15 submitted 9/01 and received an II

I guess I should prepare for s rejection in the next wave since they've reached mid August already.

Submitted secondary the same date as you, no response. So let's commiserate! 🙁

Ah, well, this was a (very) long-shot for me so it was good while it lasted. Best of luck!

Edit: also applied for PRIME

I don't know! Maybe it's because they applied for PRIME as well! I'm keeping my hopes up until they tell me otherwise! I submitted 8/24 so I'm in the exact same boat as you all!
