Anyone know the odds of being accepted as top 1/3 IS? I'm excited but I don't want to get my hopes TOO high

I'm not 100% positive but recent classes I think had most of the top 1/3 get offered in state I think.

I think there's definitely a chance depending on where you are in the middle third. From what I can tell it seems like a good chunk of the top of the IS waitlist got offers today. If you're OOS then your odds are even better since that waitlist tends to move faster.

After accepting an offer off of the waitlist can you decline it? I recently found out I was accepted off the waitlist to my top school but already accepted here. Not quite sure how this works.

According to the AAMC traffic rules, you should be able to notify U of L that you have received an offer from your preferred school's waitlist, and that you wish to withdraw. See item 6c from the link below.
