Which school would be better for someone who wants to do surgery, Meharry or Howard?

For those who’ve already interviewed, did they tell you how many people they interview per cycle and how many have been accepted this cycle?

Interviewed 1/10, iirc they are interviewing around 300 for the class of 125 and will extend around 200+ acceptances to overcorrect for those who choose not to attend. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

On 1/10 the director told us:
They’d conducted 120 interviews
~300 interviews offered total
Made 100 offers
~make roughly 250 offers total

Only reason I remem So specifically is bc I put It in my phone that day lol

Is this interpreted correctly??....

As of January 10th, they have completed 120 interviews and expect to send out around 180 more interview invites and that they sent acceptance offers to 100 students but plan to send out around 150 more acceptance offers this cycle?

So out of 120 interviews so far they have accepted 100 of those students?

Yes that is also what i gathered from it! Hope remains alive. People with complete dates closer to mine have started hearing news about II, i declare that it is only a matter of time until i get mine IJN.

I interviewed on January 17th and was told 60 seats were filled as of that date.
 
Im still waiting for an interview 🙁
I really wanna go here.
I also did really well last semester but they don’t want us sending transcripts.
Did you guys send any updates/letter of intent? I was thinking of doing that. What do you think?

I did and they emailed me less than 20 mins later saying it will be added to my file

I emailed and got the same reply (update added to file) pretty quickly. I'd call and make sure it was received. Has anyone been to their First Fridays open house? Was it useful?

Where did you send the update? I want to send one in but I’m not sure where to send it.
 
Hey guys! I went to the First Friday open house today, admissions said they are interviewing a total of 300 people this year for a class around 120 & that they have a ton of more IIs to send out. They are only interviewing through the first two weeks of April.

They also emphasized that if you do not meet their “minimum” requirements you will NOT be granted an II. They are very strict on the 494 MCAT and 3.0 gpa

Hi there, I don't know if this has already been asked but has anyone who has already interviewed be able to give any insight into what the interview was like? The atmosphere, the format? any input would be appreciated 🙂

I was there too!!! You're right, no negotiation if below 494 minimum!
 
I am really praying to God for an interview this cycle. Anyone heard back that completed secondaries on 09/05?

I completed mine around that time, although I can't remember the specific date. I have an interview on the 20th but I'm going to withdraw my app. since I got accepted into a school in my state. TX

Guys remember how I said I had a weird feeling about this week? Apparently I got an II Jan 22 and was asked to reply within 48 hours and I didn’t for some reason it was in my spam email.
I am currently calling in to beg in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that they please let me atill sign up for a date.

Oh goodness! Did the II email come from a different email address other than the “complete” email?
