2017-2018 Tufts University Application

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
II today, LM 70 and complete before August, sent an update and LOI. Keep the faith guys, I think they are maybe re-reviewing summer completions

For your update and LOI, did you just upload a document to the "additional documents" tab in the portal or did you send an email/snail mail?

I've been told not to send Pre-interview LOIs but if i got into Tufts I would definitely go, it's my top choice by a long shot. @CarsonWentz4Prez did you just reiterate your love your the school in your LOI?

Pre-interview LOIs are not useful. @CarsonWentz4Prez scenario is more likely coincidental or had more to do with their update. If your LOI is a letter of 'interest', well you applied to the school, they know you're interested. If it's a letter of 'intent', that's just silly. You haven't interviewed. You haven't visited the school. There's not much to base your opinion on.

I agree, I don't think sending a letter of interest can hurt you, if it's specific (interest in community clinic, interest in recent SOM publication, etc.)... but odds are this will just help your own personal mental health because you're ~doing something~ more than anything else haha, my update was about recent research stuff, so odds are that definitely played a bigger role, however I am also unsure if @CyrilFiggis has sat on an admissions committee or not because I haven't so I'm just speculating and can make no rock solid recommendation lol

Fair enough! I sent them an update about a recent pub but all I wanna do now is be like LOVE MEEEEEEEEE

When did you guys receive your pre-II rejections? I haven't had one yet but I'm expecting one soon :/

Pre-II rejection at 8:53am (via email). Complete early July

Did these rejections show up in portal as well or just email? They never responded to my message about my email being changed but dont see anything in portal....

Pre-interview rejection today, even with two letters from Tufts Med faculty and having worked at Tufts Medical Center for >2 years. Good luck y'all.

Pre-II rejection today. Lizzy 68 complete late august. Good luck to those still in it!

Any other who haven't heard back yet? I still haven't heard back and was complete mid July so I'm gonna take that as good news for now given the ongoing blood bath.

After the interview, if you were not accepted in the recent wave of acceptances do they tell you whether you were deferred/waitlisted? I interviewed early November for Maine Track, was told they'd get back to us in 2-3 weeks and have heard absolutely nothing. Apparently people some of the people I interviewed with were accepted. It seems strange that I've heard nothing.

I'm in the same boat. I'm definitely feeling like this week will be it, for better or for worse...
