Rejected, thought I nailed the interview. LM 70
I’m sorry to hear that. I thought my interview went horribly and I’m so surprised I wasn’t rejected. I don’t understand this process at all

For anyone who has sent an update, did you receive any confirmation that your update was accepted after uploading?

No I didn't but I went on and it was still there. I think I also called asking about my status and they said they had received the update. So, you could try doing that

Hi All. Current M2 as well as a two-time applicant/interviewer here. Just read through the last month of posts and here are some comments:

1) congrats to all who were accepted. You'll be the first class to have all year in the new anatomy lab and i'm beyond jealous.

2) For everyone still waiting to hear, don't get too depressed until the email comes. Yes, the last few years it's been like the red wedding the way they do rejections. But at the same time, when you were complete doesn't have a huge bearing. Tufts get so many applicants that sometimes you get put in the consider later pile. Many of my classmates applied early and didn't interview until Feb/March.

3) For those "deferred" post-II, I wish I had better news. I was put there the first time I applied. It has minimal movement. You will most likely be asked in late-April if you want to be put on their waitlist. If you do, I wish I had better news. Again, minimal movement.

4) For those interviewing in December, they will say you won't hear back until after the holiday, but the dean typically likes to send early Christmas gifts.

Plz plz plz give me an interview, Tufts.

Silence since early July... in state. Super strong ties to Tufts area. Heck, I was born here!

same I literally live like .3 miles from the undergrad part like if I got in/interview I wouldn't even have to move!

Does anyone have any general idea how many people are interviewed for the Maine Track??

For Maine Track MMI interview, are we allowed to jot things down in the two minutes before the discussion? Not really sure what to expect
Before we started the MMI, they gave a short presentation about how it works and allowed us to ask any questions. From what I remember, they mentioned you could jot some notes down in the two minutes before you enter the room but that most people don't. The two minutes really does fly by and no one in my group used notes, myself included. I felt much more comfortable using my time to formulate arguments and talking points in my head, allowing me to enter the room and have more of a conversation about the scenario as opposed to a presentation on it.

For the most part, the interviewers were extremely positive and engaging and made the whole experience actually kinda fun! Relax, have a rough plan of attack (with some bullet points you'll cover) and prepare for an engaging conversation on the subject and you'll do great!

Anyone know how many of their master's students have been interviewed? I hear a lot of spots are saved for them.

Have any Maine track people who interviewed in the first half of November heard anything yet?

I think they interview most of their masters students earlier in the season. I know they typically interview 70ish% of their masters students, and the class size is around 100.

so you would say 100 members of their incoming class are composed of their own masters students?

Then would it be safe to say there's a special linkage to Tufts Med for their masters students? For some reason I thought it was very competitive to get in even after completing their SMP.
It is still competitive to get in, yes. Roughly 37% of graduates are admitted. (I'm getting my information from here: MS in Biomedical Sciences | Tufts University School of Medicine Public Health and Professional Degree Programs)

Definitely less than that.

Not even close.

Simply based on percentages, yes. But there is no guarantee of interview or acceptance by doing the Tufts MBS.

great thank you so much!

Has anyone who interviewed Maine Track in November heard anything? The anxiety of the past week has been awful!

Guys it was around this time last year that they sent out the swarm of rejection emails. Am I the only one constantly checking their email and having a slight panic attack every few hours or so?
No, I am too very nervous 🙁 🙁 but also just want to know

Are only the Main Track interviews MMI or Boston as well? They didn't tell us about the format of the Boston interviews in the email or portal link.

Correct, only Maine Track is MMI. Boston track is 2 ~30 minute one on one interviews!
