+1Same, I was starting to wonder if they just silent rejected IS or not. I interviewed on the first non-ED interview day. Haven't heard anything
I called admissions more recently, and this was the vibe I got. They said each applicant was assigned to a date, and the ad com meets once a week to review applicants, but they couldn't tell me which date I was assigned to/how people are assigned to dates other than "earlier interview dates don't necessarily give you priority". I was one of the earliest interview dates, but my stats aren't through the roof, so I feel like it's sorted by stats more than interview date.What I THINK is going on, is every week admissions reviews a predetermined set of people. I assume they probably let people with better stats be assigned to an earlier meeting so they send out mostly acceptances at first. Then people with lower stats are probably reviewed in later weeks and it becomes harder to decide who to admit or not. This is all conjecture.
Or like a lot of life, it could all be random...

Im in pretty much the same boat! Interviewed oct 13th and average applicant. I was just wondering if anyone knows, if your reviewed one week will they let you know after which position your in (accepted/rejected/waitlist) or is there potential to be just left to review again at another adcom meeting? Basically wondering if you haven’t heard anything yet if that means you just haven’t been looked at or could it mean they’ve looked but can’t decide.
Please guys, is there anyone who had interviewed on December heard back from the admissions yet!! ThanksHas there been any specific day news comes out or is it just random so far?
There are people from September, October, and November waiting for an answer. End of Feb-Mar are the rest of acceptances. A conservative guess is 50% of the class is filled by now. Approx 40 were accepted ED and at least another 20 were accepted because they were exceptional and the rest of us plebeians are waiting impatiently.Please guys, is there anyone who had interviewed on December heard back from the admissions yet!! They don’t tAke any updates sent to them after something like January 3rd. I called and asked a while ago, the deadline has definitely passed, although I am not sure what the exact date was.Does anyone know if UNMC is receptive to letters of interest post interview?
Also if they like updates regarding service trips and stuff?
Geez, not even final grades? haha I got my grades like nowThey don’t tAke any updates sent to them after something like January 3rd. I called and asked a while ago, the deadline has definitely passed, although I am not sure what the exact date was.
84 students are already in the facebook group... UNMC took 126 students last year... I would venture to guess that there is minimal acceptances left.. I was IS, 4000+ work hours, 507, and a 3.74. I was accepted second week of January
Best of luck to all
I did notice that a lot of them are already wearing their white coats, which at least in my mind, would indicate that they had already been through their white coat ceremony, but I don’t know. It is just hopeful wishing I guess.I think some of the members are medical students from different years, like current M1s, etc.
Good luck!After sooo many months of neuroticism, just when I think I've reached a glorious state of apathy, I had a dream that I got accepted. Now my hopes are too high again and the neuroticism is back XD
That happened to me about two weeks ago 🙁After sooo many months of neuroticism, just when I think I've reached a glorious state of apathy, I had a dream that I got accepted. Now my hopes are too high again and the neuroticism is back XD

At UNMC, some of the potential impacts of the examples of the budget reductions would be:Hopefully these budget cuts won’t hurt us too much
At UNMC, some of the potential impacts of the examples of the budget reductions would be:
· Fewer opportunities for young Nebraskans to become health professionals;
· Fewer health profession graduates returning to or remaining in Nebraska, thus limiting further access to health care;
· Lessening of Nebraskans chances to receive state-of-the-art medical treatments in the state, as academic medicine and clinical research declines;
· Reduced outreach to underserved rural and urban areas as UNMC retreats to its core mission delivered by the UNMC campus;
· Weakened confidence of potential business partners in the state’s ability to participate in public/private partnerships, thus diminishing momentum;
· Reduced opportunity for UNMC to discover the causes and treatments of developmental neurological disabilities in children;
· Reduced training programs that supply nurse specialists to work with Nebraska’s aging population, particularly in rural areas; and
· Reducing a new program to meet the need for forensic scientists to populate workforce in Nebraska’s crime laboratories.
Did anyone get any news over the weekend?
