I think a good amount. I know of someone who had a 511, interviewed last spring, and got off the waitlist. I'l tell you the US news stats hold on

So all together last cycle they accepted 330, and enrolled 183. So I'm assuming a good chunk does come off the waitlist

Assume They Have been interviewing every week since September, I know each group has 16 members. So assume 4 months of interviews from September to December so 16 members ×16 weeks = 256 so 330-256 is 74. Seems like around this many people off the waitlist.

Someone with an LM Of 73 just got an II and mine is 71 so we’ll see if this holds up. Complete around the same time too

579 total interviews last cycle. So fingers crossed, we will see if we get the interview.

My LizzyM was 73 and I had a really early II. I’m not sure it’s a solid indicator of USFs order, but it does seem like they favor high MCAT

I haven't received my packet in the mail yet (accepted student) so I called and they said that it usually takes a while and to not worry. As long as you verify that your mailing address is correct, I think you're gtg

Same here. Have you sent in your transcript yet? I put in an order for mine but it's taking forever to get delivered... does anyone know if they have a solid deadline for the transcript? It's not part of the two weeks thing, is it? I sent in my technical standards and acceptance acknowledgment forms and I know they got those.

I haven’t sent in mine yet, but I have to figure out if they need ones from dual enrollment/transient student still. I wish they’d update the portal confirming they got my agreement.

My portal hasn't changed, either. They let me know that they got my forms by replying to my email (I sent them by email). Of course, I don't know how strict they are about the whole two week deadline, because it's hard for them to know what day we received the packet and everything. But I'm going to assume/hope they don't need transcripts within 2 weeks, because some of these transcript delivery services are horrible and take forever.

Yeah I ordered it from my registrars office a while ago, no idea if it’s been delivered yet.

hi it's me again...anyone who already interviewed with SELECT have a screenshot for Allentown interview info? In my initial email a couple of days ago I got a "Allentown interviewees: You will receive information regarding parking, directions, hotel/hosting and the student Meet and Greet via email" but haven't received that email yet but need to secure hotel/hosting soon!! Thanks!

II around these parts stands for Interview Invitation.

In that context, no they don’t interview everyone.

However, if you’re referring to secondaries, they do send those out to everyone.

Seems fool hearted to try and decode this. I was told on my interview day that it could take up to 4 - 6 weeks to hear back. Given that the AAMC yearly conference was at the tail end of last week - the adcom may be working on a slightly delayed timeline.

They told us we would receive a call by the end of last week if we were accepted, but it's possible that they're behind schedule.

By itself no.

There are so many factors that it is impossible to say if this one isolated factor has a chance. Plenty get accepted with a 511 and plenty get rejected with a 511. Just look at the MSAR

Haha not a current student but my M1 friend just got drug tested last week. You’re also able to choose the date of your drug test within a range of dates and it’s a urine test, so you should be good

If she's being tested as an M1, does that mean that she was not tested prior matriculation? Or is it an annual thing? Also how far in advance am I able to schedule a test?

No he wasn’t tested prior to matriculation. I believe they only test during first year but I would presume that when starting rotations you would get tested by the hospitals.
He was made aware more than a month in advance

I think they explicitly say on the website not to send anything unless specifically asked (and I remember them telling us the same at my interview day).

How soon after interview day did you guys hear back? And was it by snailmail, e-mail, or phone?

This has been the longest 4 days ever.....

I️ had to wait until after oct 16, but they said 4-6 weeks. Not sure how accurate that is. And they call if you are accepted, but snail mail wait lists and rejections. And we can’t figure out how they decide who to call and when - someone who interviews the same day as you could hear back a few days before or a few days after you. It’s going to be a long few weeks for you - hang in there!

I got the call for select 10/17 but haven’t received the packet yet. I’m not too worried though because the person who called me cited my two interviewers by name. So it takes a while but that will just make it sweeter when it finally does arrive.

Same here & you're absolutely right! I just think after so many hoops we have to jump through, I almost feel like nothings set in stone until I'm literally in the classroom lol. I'm eager for that packet as the next step in sealing the deal!
