Thank you! And lol I wish! I did have high stats (80+ LizzyM) and multiple publications (no first author).
Did anyone else think the interview day was a bit odd? We had a lot of free time and didn't meet very many people throughout the day, students or staff.

Does anyone know if those "interviewer evaluations" we filled out at the end of the interview day were anonymous? One would think that our interviewers dont see those evaluations right?
I didn't write anything negative but there was a light criticism so I am hoping that doesn't hurt me reciprocally.
Any tips or advice for the interview here? Really interested in this school and hoping my interview goes well
Just interviewed here. Pretty interesting day, while I think both my interviews were "fine" I didn't really click with my first interviewer, so I get to sit in neuroticism and over think my interview responses for the next five months...yay. Also, during my group tour we never actually went into any of the Yale affiliated hospitals, we pretty much stayed at the medical school and libraries. Is this normal?
Huh, I see. Thank you.Going to the hospitals would take far too long. I havent been to the affiliated hospitals in any of my interviews.
Lol.. what? I've been to in all of mineGoing to the hospitals would take far too long. I havent been to the affiliated hospitals in any of my interviews.

edited my original post, I misread your post and thought you were only referring to Yale. Of the 7 interviews I've attended, Yale (and maybe Einstein, but they don't have a traditional interview day) is the first one that did not show interviewees the hospital. Even at Geisel, where the hospital was a distance away, they shuttled the interviewees to the hospital and gave a tour and then a seperate medical school tour later in the day.Thats crazy to me. Been on 6 interviews havent been to a single hospital.

Thanks! I had a lot of fun during the tour (especially that basement room full of brains). I didn't really notice I didn't see the hospital till I arrived back at my Airbnb lol.Yes, that’s normal for the tour. We don’t have enough time to take you into the hospital, and there’s not really much to see that’s different from most private hospitals except the atrium is really nice. If I could change something about the way we do our interview day, I would stretch out the tour to include a few more sites like the hospital and simulation center, while reducing some of the down time in the morning.
I think they really want youOkay so I’ve gotten probably like 7-8 reminder emails leading up to my interview next week. Is this normal or am I forgetting to do something?

Not really just an email to select a lunch(do not get the buffalo sandwich unless you want buffalo sauce everywhere in your container), and the preonterview dinner invite.I wish lol. I’m guessing it has to do with me scheduling my interview 10 weeks after I received it. Did you really not get any reminders?
That makes a lot of sense. Welp, I hope I’m privileged enough to revisit and see it for second look.I used to give tours when I was a MS1. In our "training," they always told us to take people by the hospital. When I did so originally, I found that 1) it made everyone late for the next thing or we rushed too much AND 2) we just took you to the atrium which was silly and doesn't actually show you anything. I ended up opting it out because I thought it was better for the students, and I would ALWAYS say something about this at the beginning of my tours, such as "I know that the main reason you're here is for the hospital, but we're a tour group who would only be able to go into the atrium, so I'd much rather spend time showing you around the rest of campus. If you'd like to visit the hospital afterwards, you should feel free to!"

I received one two weeks out and another one week out before my interview; also, yeah @Serine Minor my tour didn't go to the hospital either!I wish lol. I’m guessing it has to do with me scheduling my interview 10 weeks after I received it. Did you really not get any reminders?
For anyone that has interviewed- did they mention what the specific day to hear back in March is? They didn't mention it at my interview but I know in the past they have given a day we can expect to hear back. Thanks!
i think very early on there have been a few.Any international students who received IIs?
Is sending a letter of interest (not intent) worth it here? This is currently my top choice school and I'd like to share that if possible
Yeah that makes sense. I was really sold because of my interview day, but I don't want to prematurely send a letter of intent. Not sure where I'll get accepted this cycle and what financial aid packages will look like, so I don't want to make any promises I can't keep.To me, it makes greater sense to send in application updates along with a section reiterating your interest in Yale. A standalone letter of interest might not make much difference considering the fact that you already completed a whole essay regarding your interest in Yale for your secondary.

I emailed them to my actual interviewers.Where do we send our thank you notes?

Wow congrats! That's way quick after your complete date. What do you think pushed you to the top??? Would love some advice here haha 🙂II this morning!! complete 10/19 LizzyM 78
Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. I technically submitted my secondary in August and was just waiting for a rec letter to come in, so maybe they had already reviewed my app and were just waiting for that letter?Wow congrats!
